Can anyone help? HTC Magic 32B flashed with 32A

Hi,

This is probably a pretty noobish question and i apologize.

I've recently aquired a HTC Magic from my partner who just got an upgrade. As i'm not into blackberries i decided to adopt it as my work phone.

After being successful with my Dext (personal phone) and my dad's desire I rooted it and stuck F4tal1t1es hero rom on it, All was good.

I went for an updated hero ROM for the extra features (because, why the hell not) and my 32B magic was flashed to 32A.

Now I cannot boot past fastboot or the My touch 3g splash.

I have attempted to re flash the radio with a stock one but this fails leaving me with a blank screen. I've tried flashing 32A recovery and booting into one to see if I can revive but nothing.

I'm told there's a way to recover a 32A flashed with 32B but this method, even backwards does not work.

Have I totally bricked it or can anyone help me recover it?

It was an unlocked UK Vodafone magic (without 3.5mm headphone jack).


I can provide all the fastboot information / technical information required upon request and will update this thread with all of it once the battery has charged a bit.

i've searched everywhere and i'm desperate as i don't like kit going to waste. any help appreciated.

ok, so if you can get into Fastboot youre not really bricked.
you probably flashed out of order. i believe you gotta update Radio first, SPL second, and lastly the Recovery.

try running the fastboot recovery image, then power on the phone while holding the Back button and insert data cable. hopefully it will detect the device and you can flash. make sure its done in proper order tho.

Try @zesbra's suggestion. If it doesn't work, we will go from there
