This may be off topic, but can any tell me how to clear the Dalvik Cache? Thanks!
- 07-26-2010, 06:52 PM #67
when you go into recovery - there's a 'wipe' function - in there it says Dalvik Cache

everything is working great! thank you so much. I've been waiting for a working a2sd mod for a long time. Now I can install all the apps I couldn't before because of low memory.
Ext3, 96mb swap, is how I partitioned by the way, for those that are lost as to how to set things up. Don't forget to wipe!!

Do we need to wipe to get from Beta1 to Beta2?
I spent hours configuring all the applications only just last night lol
To install apps2sd do we run this after we install the rom in recovery or after the rom has started up?
Thanks.

I'm kinda wondering if it does support ext3. I was confused when I booted up and it showed a few programs already installed. I later found out I still had an ext3 partition with some apk's there from when I was using the sdcard in a g1. I hadn't even run any of the commands from your first post, they just showed up. I thought I was going crazy or something at work. I couldn't check for an ext3 partition because my work pc runs windows.

Not trying to be stupid but I ran this command
But how can I make sure it is running off sd card and not internal memory? I am trying to make sure it is working right as I got no errors during install.Code:#check if all is ok adb shell a2sd check
Edit: after I use that command I mean what should I be looking for it to say to verify it?

Just a recommendation, could we include this in your rom by default?
Block ads on your Android phone (2010-04-15) - xda-developers
Also just another note for some, within your recovery console you can actually partition your sdcard so no need for that guide
I just followed the:
96MB Swap
512MB EXT2
Remaining FAT32
Then upgrade ext2 to ext3 step.Last edited by theallseingeye; 07-27-2010 at 12:36 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
