I've tried to delete those files but get an error. Sorry I am still a noob at this rooting thing!

I deleted the files using root explorer
Then I pushed the new files using adb...reboot
It didn't work right away I had to flash the rom actually, then it worked

Other than that I've dialed the ROM in very close to how I want it after a lot of trial and error plus adb changes.

Does Bluetooth work?
If not, is there any 2.1 ROM with bluetooth working?
Tried searching, but "bluetooth" is either too long, too short, or too common

Adlxmod-2.0 bluetooth works fine for me? I flashed the 5036 radio update in J_r0dds thread, don't know if that is the reason why it is ok for me?
So audio ok to stereo bluetooth carkit, ok to transfer a file at a time to windows. What is meant to be the prob?

Thanks for the ROM just a simple question the speed dialer is saying Error please wait for setup to complete when i try to add a contact? anyone else having this issue?

Just flashed brown MOD, and then superuser. Almost everything went well except when I login it keeps looping asking me to add another account. I know it's synced because I received an email and could read it (arrived in the slider bar). I can't get past the sign in screen though. When I press home I get "This version of LauncherPro Beta has expired. Please go to LauncherPro to get the latest version"

Any ideas on how to fix?



Edit: Fixed! just wanted to post a work around for anyone else that runs into this. After your Google account syncs, send yourself an email with a link to launcher pro's website, download latest version, and install.

Great Rom by the way. Looking forward to future releases.

This Rom is the best for battery life, i tried BarelyBlurred for a week and came back to this. My only problem is the contact sync'ing, apart from that it is grrreat

When i flashed my cliq to this i had the same problem but all i had to do was do the regular sign in and then when it came back to add another account i rebooted ( well i pulled battery and powered up the phone) that is what worked for me

Not sure a 100% but I think that you'll need to install back Setup.apk and SetupProvider.apk to be able to sync. your contacts. I can't remember well right now but it should even sync. by only pushing back SetupProvider. Hope this helps.

Update 1: The above recommendation is inaccurate. Installing Setup or SetupProvider won't help on the contrary it will take you to the blur setup wizard and you won't be able to skip it. Sorry.

Update 2: Since BlurEmailEngine is needed to sync. the calendar it might also be needed to sync. your contacts from your google account.

I'm using Toxi's Barely Blurred Rom and I'm getting the same error. It won't let me add any contact to my speed dial list. I'm almost sure that signing in with blur account will fix this issue. I said this because I've installed the same rom to my wife's Cliq and the only difference is that she signed in with her blur account.

I honestly thought the Contact sync'ing was in the Bug Tracker all this time! I tried the Setup & SetupProvider but it came to the initial screen when you flash a Rom. Just going to do a classic wipe and flash

Okay, I just installed this ROM just to make sure what I suggested before was correct but wasn’t the case. The fact is that I didn't have to install Setup.apk or SetupProvider .apk to sync. my contacts from my Google account.

This is what I did.
- I flashed the rom
- Then I proceed to flash the latest superuser build (v2.3.6.1) before rebooting.
- Once I got to the google account setup screen I used ADB to push BlurHome, BlurEmailEngine (to be able to sync. the calendar and probably this is what it’s needed to sync. the contacts too), Conversations.apk (Mms was removed since I don’t like to be sending double messages every time I press the physical enter key), VisualVoiceMail (I just like it), SIMManager (I think I read this prevents FC’ing if you are getting your contacts from your Sdcard and also if you boot your phone without the Sdcard), and Astro File Manager (to be able to install my applications from my Sdcard).
- Did a reboot.
- Then I went through the google account setup wizard but it went into a loop once I signed in, so I just did a hard reboot and got to the main home without any further problems.

One of the issues that I had with this rom before and still is that I get FC’ing every time I try opening the WeatherBug or Loopt apps. In fact this is the reason I stopped using this rom since I couldn't find a solution. My humble recommendation is go and try Toxi's Barely Blurred Rom. It's fast enough when using with launcherpro and is pretty darn stable. It also has the 2.0.26 OTA update included.

On a side note, and something that I would recommend, is to manually entering (or update) all your contacts by login directly into your google account through the actual website. This way you make sure that you are using and organizing correctly all the information fields of your contacts. Once I did this all my contacts get downloaded to my phone every time I setup a new rom without any issues.
