Did you notice that he removed videoplayer.apk that's probably why...

I added it back in the new ROM. I'm testing a V2 right now, maybe be up soon.

uh no app, installed google voice, adfree, advanced task killer, facebook.. changed a bunch of settings and now when i send a txt it shows the sent msg twice and sends two messages.. ima re-flash real quick

I like ADW.Launcher and am afraid of change.

Can I just swap the ADW.Launcher and LauncherPro .apks before flashing the rom?

You can just download ADW.Launcher from the Market and delete LauncherPro from /data/app/ using Root Explorer.

You basically can, but you need to resign the ROM.

complete wipe, and first test pre-installation of any software sending dual messages..

Cool. No problem resigning the rom. I need to insert my personal favorite battery icons, the stock 2.1 News&Weather widget, and boot animation too. I've signed a few roms trying to deblur the 2.1 leak. Never figured out what to ditch and what to keep around. Glad it seems to be hard to permanently brick these phones. A battery pull later you are back in recovery deciding what to do next.
