[Rom] adlxmod 2.0.2 - Android 2.1 with Motoblur

Very nice rom, flashed it yesterday on my UK dext, works fine and even after rooting, I still have my 3g radio.

Here's my experience from Mexico:
I upgraded to 1.0RC3 following the instructions here: Guia de actualización del Motorola Dext mexicano Actualizado:17-07-10 – MHW 2.0 POR QUE EN MEXICO TAMBIEN SOMOS GEEKS
Then I simply flashed with 2.0 and the system NEVER booted, it kept rebooting in the white motorola screen. I got really nervous. I decided to wipe (factory reset and dalvik cache) and then flashed again with 2.0.

At this point everything run perfectly: 3g (I had to add the APN), wifi, camera, gps, but the date couldn't be updated past 1969 so I used the patch (adlxmod-2.0-kl114-signed.zip). After this point I had 3G and the date could be upgraded, but I lost wifi and the camera.

I really need wish that there was a way to correct the date issue without loosing Wifi and the camera, because I really liked what I saw.. I had to go back to 1.2

Compa, tienes el radio viejo por eso el problema de la fecha. Para que se corrija tienes que flashear el patch del kernel, sólo que vas a perder algunas características como ya te diste cuenta. Es normal. No nos queda mas que esperar que Adlx actualice su patch del kernel, pero es probable que aún así perdamos algunas características.

really loving the new ROM, but can't figure out how to get past an issue with my clock. its date is 31 december 1969. how do i fix this so i can log in to blur?

U got old radio, need to flash the kernel patch. But u'll loose cam, bluetooth, wifi...

You have to remove the HTC_IME_lo15.apk from the /system/app folder and then you will see the Android keyboard.

now whenever i try to type a message with the phone closed it tells me to use the hardware keyboard :/

I've been enjoying ADLXmod for a week now - no problems, very few FC's.

I'm about to root and upgrade my wife's Cliq as well. In general, she has a low tolerance for needing to troubleshoot. She just wants her phone to work. That being said, I think she would enjoy the move from 1.5 to 2.1.

I was going to put ADLXmod on her phone, but I was also looking at brwnmod, since it has all the blur stuff removed (which neither of us use).

Any thoughts on which mod I should install for her? Since this is a thread on ADLXmod, I assume that will be the consensus, but if there are any other factors to consider, please let me know.

It worked for me. I'm on the same ROM. I used ADB to push both the LatinIME.apk and LatinIME.odex files to /system/app. Then I used root explorer change the permissions of both files to read and write for user and read only by everyone else. I then removed HTC_IME from the /system/app folder and it works great for me. I hope this helps. If you are still having problems then I hope someone else can help.

Great rom so far. Haven't had any major issues to speak of.

Issues so far:
Handcent SMS: Picture settings - uses only Google account pictures and ignores everything else, even though you can select them (Facebook, twitter, etc).

Questions:
1) Is there a way to get Apps2SD working with this rom, or is it in the works?
2) Wifi Tethering - Will this be added in the future, or does anybody recommend any tethering apps? (I previously had KB7SQI's ROM that had wifi/wired tethering built in...and it worked great).

Thank you again for a great rom and all your hard work and dedication. This rom has given new life to my cliq.

at the moment jrodds rom is the only one with app2sd and for wireless tether u can get the app barnacle tether from the market

One other issue I am having now. The Wifi icon in the notification bar has disappeared. The only new thing I did was try the wifi-tether apk from google code (installed and removed) and added barnacle. Anybody have any ideas of how to get this back? It was working fine last night, so I am not sure if I did something when I installed the tethering apps or not.

i got apps2sd working by looking for a guide on xda. look for a thread called "Darktremor Apps2SD version 2.7 Update 3r1 (2010-06-26)" seems to be working for me, but with some performance issues. i got a crappy 4gb sd card. not even class 4.

EDIT: i tried moving dalvik-cache to sd card. causes infinite force close issues. had to revert to a nandroid. also upgraded to 2.7.5 RC1 (07/28/2010) - seems to be working better.

The problem is that im from Mexico, so I cant use your rom as every day rom.

Do you have a release date for a beta or a revision 1 or something like that? Cause I love your rom and check this tread every day but cant find news about it.

I'm so scared to flash this ROM. I know its most likely not related but when I flashed one of your older adlxmod ROM's it broke my keyboard backlight. Not blaiming you or anyone else. Just saying that it stopped working entirely after flashing this and anything I tried to use after still didn't have it. Its probably just a dumb coincidence since no one has ever posted that problem. That's why I'm so skeptical about flashing this lol. Reading the posts. Its a great ROM! I don't know why I'm posting this, but its important to me haha.

Mine for some reason every now and then jumps to a 100% another question does your gtalk works mine says list confection every 3 seconds thar are my only issues

Nevermind after a couple reboots its just normal
