You may already have caught if you follow me on twitter. If not, here is my adlxmod 2.0 build, based off Motoblur 2.0.25 (Android 2.1 Eclair) leak.

Prerequisites to install adlxmod 2.x:

- You need a rooted phone. Use the RageAgainstTheCage rooting method, which is valid for any flavour of the Cliq/Dext, without tampering the radio. See: http://modmymobile.com/forums/399-mo...-3g-bands.html
- You need an updated radio (5025 or superior). Check http://modmymobile.com/forums/399-mo...red-2-1-a.html

What is new:

adlxmod 2.0.2 (incremental patch from 2.0) - Obsoletes 2.0.1

Fixes the following issues:

- SIM contact management FC issue (issue 29) solved
- Extended APN list added (inc. Orange, and Latam countries)
- Updated LauncherPro to 0.7.7.2 (version included in adlxmod 2.0 had expired)
- Updated Titanium to 3.4.5

Patch instructions:

* Flash over adlxmod 2.0/2.0.1 WITHOUT wiping.
* If you are gonna flash adlxmod 2.0 for the first time, better flash the patch RIGHT AFTER flashing the adlxmod-2.0-signed.zip, BEFORE running for the first time.
* If you are already running adlxmod 2.0, you can also flash it to solve the issues.


adlxmod 2.0:

- Based on Motoblur 2.0.25 (Android 2.1 Eclair).
- This build is not deodexed.

- Motoblur login can be skipped, so you use the phone without Motoblur account. (Menu -> skip during Motoblur signin).
- Removed LatimIME, so HTC IME is only IME (htc_ime Jonas Mod, updated to .27)
(Be sure you check the virtual bkd options, there is lot of good stuff there!)
- LauncherPro is installed in /data. I recommend using it, its App Drawer is way faster than BlurHome and has a lot of options!
- Default home page changed to Google.com
- Updated Titanium Backup to 3.3.3
- Updated Google Maps to 4.4.0
- Cpu governor set to ondemand so cpu freq scales between min & max on demand (better battery saving/performance balance) - That rom has proven to give extrem battery life (>6days standby time, see Twitter / Alexandre Dumont: whaou amazing 6days standb ...)
- /system/etc/init.d support
- Market fingerprint fix



What may come (or not ) in the future:

- Rom updater by Sudo.Adam (wip)
- Custom adlxmod bootscreen animation by Supreme313 (wip)
- Custom kernel with Wifi / BT tethering (when we get Motorola sources for kernel 2.6.29)

Wiping or not wiping?:

1) If you have weird issues (FCs, unable to enter PIN, unable to use whatever should work), YOU HAVE TO WIPE (data and cache). Read (2)
2) REMEMBER: You have to wipe BEFORE installing the rom and the patches! That mean that if you ever wipe, you better have to REFLASH the rom and the patches after wiping!
3) Hint: If you come from 1.5 you HAVE TO wipe!
4) If you come from another 2.1 rom you can try without wiping, but read (1)
5) You can use Titanium, to ackup and restore apps between wiping/reflash. Be careful, you probably better don't backup/restore system configurations, especially if upgrading from 1.5 to 2.1. (restores DBs and the DB schema expected by the new rom may have changed).

Known issues / Recommendations / FAQ:

- BlurHome app drawer is a bit laggy (not really my build issue), I recomend using Launcher Pro from the market (free) --> Really FAST!
- 100% CPU? - The system loads a ton of apps upon startup, I recommend using a task cleaner to kill them. In my case my phone runs really smooth!
- After flashing and restoring your conf, check the ringtones and notifications tones. Sometimes it is messed up. I'm not sure it's an issue of my rom.
- Unable to connect to 3g? if you have issues to connect to data (2g/3g), double check your APN!
- Wifi conexion issues? if and only if you are having issues with wifi / data connection, try to install the Tonymy01's DNS patch.

- LiveWallpapers are not included. You can install that patch if you want to have LiveWallpaper: http://modmymobile.com/forums/403-mo...y-do-work.html

As BlurUpdater / Upgrader are removed, you won't be bugged by OTAs notification when they arrive.
You can install again the apps pushing them to /system/app or /data/app.

Tweak to default/build.prop
- eons tweaks
- wifi.supplicant_scan_interval changed to 15s (default is 5s, less battery drain)

Adlxmod cosmetic changes:
- Some Eclair 2g/3g traffic arrows, sync arrows, network bars,
- Notification bar background (background transparent when you pull the noification handler, the handler itself is changed)
- Stripped down Motoblur Batwing emsignia bootscreen (T-Mobile removed)

Is it possible to add a % remaining number to the battery indicator, this way I'm not having to run a extra program to give me that info?

I don't know if is my phone or the build we are all using being Motoblur2.1 or a variant, but whenever I reboot my phone there is a black rectangle at the upper right corner. Is this a watermark or of any significance? It doesn't seem to cause any problems other than drive me nuts not knowing exactly what it does.
