superuser 2.2.2 gets you root access when using some of these custome roms.

The only thing I know about rooting is from this video.

If I follow this video, would this ROM work?

no,you would go to a tmobile store and have them switch your number over to an older sim that has all of the pins, they have old style sims in stock because some older phones have the same issues.

no,but they do have old sims in stock that they can activate.

    Okay,

When you plug your USB in your computer. What do you click on your phone?

What do you click on your phone when you put the recovery and the ROM on your SD card?

Do you just plug it in and not choose charge or mount?

the only things you have to plug n your phone for is to push the recovery image to your phone or to put stuff on your sd card

I did flash the su 2.2.2 zip and while that did fix some things, I still can't really access anything via adb or Android Commander or any "root explorer" from Market. Super strange.

Actually, I suspect this may not so much be an issue with the ROM as an issue with Android Commander or any other file explorer.

Right, sorry about the edit, but I had already done that and still, to my frustration, am experiencing issues. See newest post above :P

LOVING the rom for being in a beta it is working great. When you flash and it says something "While we are waiting how are you?Really thats Great" made me laugh.

For all the people who are having superuser errors i just googled superuser 2.2.2 and dl the eclair version and flashed it right after flashing the rom and it worked. i tryed a few apps that need superuser and they worked.

So in the end it is a great ROM and i didnt have any data issues except when i was trying to sync to my google account it failed a few times before working other then that nothing.
