Approved ROM subforum
The approved ROM subforum is mainly designed to:
1) create a clean forum to overview the ROMs
2) filter the "blog" and "announcement" type ROM threads from the ones with having something to download
Only developers and staff can create new threads in this subforum, in which all users can post normally.
How to have your ROM approved? Post it in the development subforum and then have it approved by a staff member (should be done automatically, if you feel that your ROM meets the criteria to be approved, PM a staff member).
The criteria are the following:
- General rules apply: HERE
- The thread have to contain a direct download link (not to be the announcement threads or the blog thread)
- Minor patches remain in the development subforum
- Other things ROM related (recoveries etc.) are moved here tooLast edited by Skrilax_CZ; 09-27-2010 at 11:33 AM. Reason: will not approve the DL links requiring registration

Approved ROM subforum
Hi Skrilax,
I believe that the "general rom publishing rules" post have moved here: http://modmymobile.com/forums/403-mo...utils-etc.html.
I miss the followin point in the rom publishing rules mentioned above (or was it a Cliq's forum specific rule?):
- The thread have to contain a direct download link (not to be the announcement threads or the blog thread)
I've seen some devs that actually do link directly to there site, instead of giving the link(s) to the files.Download my 1-click Recovery Flasher to flash a custom or stock recovery to your phone: Cliq, CliqXT, Backflip, ...

A note regarding licensing. If you publish anything that is licensed GPL, you must post source code along with (within a reasonable time period). Otherwise your work will be considered Warez. This does not apply for things licensed under Apache license, under which most of the Android is. However Linux kernel is licensed GPL v2.0, so if you use custom kernel, you must publish the source code (or patches you made).
