[Rom] Adlxmod 2.1.5-2 for Motorola Cliq/Dext

weird. i had the exact same issue. here's what I did (I know it's a weird sequence, I was trying to perform multiple ROM image backups. I use 1.5 ROMs to play 3D games):

1) flashed VanillaWithEclair ---> OK... then boot to recovery
2) Nandroid Backup
3) Complete Wipe
4) flashed 2.1_AdlxMod ---> OK... then boot to recovery
5) Nandroid Backup
6) Nandroid Restore 1.0_PureHandler ---> OK (played games & installed stuff)... then boot to recovery
7) Nandroid Backup
8) Complete Wipe
9) flashed 1.2_AdlxMod ---> OK... then boot to recovery
10) Nandroid Backup
11)Nandroid Restore VanillaWithEclair ---> OK (installed stuff)... then boot to recovery
12) Nandroid Backup
13) Nandroid Restore 2.1_AdlxMod ---> problem as describe above copied below:

the problem start from here,it pass thought the "Adlx" logo,come to "Motorola"logo with "blur"keep flashing,then it reflash to black screen and come back to "Moto"screen again,it doesn't boot up.

Here's what I did to fix the problem:
14) Boot into Recovery
15) Complete Wipe
16) flashed 2.1_AdlxMod ---> boot OK

For kicks, I did the following:

17) Boot to recovery
18) Nandroid Restore the previous 2.1_AdlxMod backup from step#5 above (did not wipe). To my surprise, it booted but none of the apps I've installed previously are there, so there are orphan links on the desktop.
19) Boot to recovery
20) Complete Wipe
21) Nandroid Restore the previous 2.1_AdlxMod backup from step#5 above.

Problem reappeared- it pass thought the "Adlx" logo,come to "Motorola"logo with "blur"keep flashing,then it reflash to black screen and come back to "Moto"screen again,it doesn't boot up.

Repeated step#14 to 16 to fix the problem. I wonder what's going on in here.

weird..I THOUGHT THAT JUST ME..I DO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE...I have wipe it all..and i reback install jrod11 and adxl...huh..the problem still the same...anyone can help to fix the issue???

I have to say Adlx i love your roms this one is working great i will probably stay with it till a fully functional 2.2 froyo is out or i decide to buy a G2 or Vibrant i cant decide

Sorry if this is a stupid question but im running handlers recovery which has no wipe sd card option so is it possible to install this rom first and then load up rom connect to pc with usb and format/partition through windows.

I have never tried this recovery so I can't help with it. I'm using Amon_RA 1.5.2.1 and it has a "Partition SD Card" option that will guide you through a wizard to partition easily the SD card. I guess J_r0dd's recovery also should have this option.

Btw, when you use app2sd, when I talk about Wiping, don't forget to also Wipe the Ext partition on SD (once again, Amon_ra's recovery has the option for that in the Wipe menu).

Im french,my actual Rom is adlxmod 2.0.2 patched with patch_Market2.07-signed.zip and LW_patch.zip (ALL 2.1 ROMS), do I need adlxmod-2.0-azerty-signed.zip to get french keyboard ?
Is this version solving Speed Dial issue ?

I've just done the patch for azerty kbd. Will upload it later and post it here. Sorry about that. Better don't use the patch of 2.0, and wait for this one.

wipe! boot with camera then vol down then choose wipe.after you wipe it takes about 10 or so mins to boot and get the cache working etc.

On my Dexts it take only 5min max on first boot.

=( downgrade to 2.0.2 FC's New rom 2.1 for me:

* slower than the previous
* usb depuration no power off (previous and after wipe)
* Battery indicator not accurate
* sdcard LED never goes out (to be connected to the pc even without receiving energy) when I disconnected obviously if off. The previous rom if done correctly. (I use USB Safely Remove in win)

Anyway, thanks Alex, the 2.0.2 rom is my favorite and return to it =).

What does it mean "no radio included?"

You can flash this rom with no fear for your 3g. The rom won't overwrite your baseband radio, as it has no radio included.

Three probably stupid questions:

1) Is there a known JIT heap size that tends to work best for this ROM/device? (i know it isn't stable yet... just wondering if there is a "Better" configuration)

2) Apps2Sd is not working for me.... could this be because my linux partition is ext4?? (and yes, I followed the instructions from the first post)

3) Swap isn't working either... am I doing something wrong? My SdCard has a 32MB swap partition, yet it says there is no swapspace.

2) yes, try another ext format. I bet ext4 isn't supported in the stock kernel.

3) same here, iirc swap isn't supported in the kernel. Until there is no release of the src we can't enable it.

Did you wipe also te SD ext partition? If unsure, you can backup your SD FAT content, repartition the SD, restore your FAT backup, and WIPE again everyth, and reflash.

Let the phone die, turn it on, let it die, turn it on, let it die untill it cannot turn on anymore. plug in and turn on > boot into recovery > wipe battery stats > let it finish charging and next time you use it, use it till it dies once. It should recalibrate the battery meter.

(0) Download files adlxmod-1.0rc3-signed.zip to your sdcard root folder.
(1) Do a nandroid backup of your phone
(2) You probably want to wipe :-)
(3) Apply adlxmod-1.0rc3-signed.zip
(3.1) People using a 1.1.x (*5012*) radio, flash also adlxmod-0.4-kl114-2 (don't worry about the 0.4, it's the same kernel).
(3.2) People having an azerty keyboard, flash also adlxmod-azerty-patch.
(4) Reboot (obviously, unless you like staying in the recovery )

An easy way to drain the battery fast is to leave the phone in custom recovery mode all night (unplugged of course :-) ). It should drain completely the battery, to the point that even plugging to the computer won't be enough to power it. (That is how I do it).

I just flash now Adlx 2.1 over 2.0.2 WITHOUT wipe (before had have a nandroid backup xD) and all perfect... Great ROM, thanks Adu!!!

WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS, all accounts, contacts, adjusts... all works fine!!

Not sure if i'm the only one or if this has been covered, but i'm unable to access my sim card. When trying to import contacts w/ Manage SIM card it says there's no contacts on sim. When using contract2sim, it says it can't access the sim card... can any help?
