Hello all fellow Cliq/dext users, mad_fitter here. I am posting this for @Br3ttu because he is a very busy man. So without further delay......here it is:

Br3ttu's Froyo Cliq Beta4 USIM Compatible

Yes you read correctly, working data for those with a USIMcard!
This is an AOSP, build from source by Br3ttu. Disclaimer: Br3ttu and I are in no way responsible for any problems with your phone: by installing the update you accept this risk. If you don't... then don't install!

In addition to the basic AOSP applications, google apps are installed, with a functioning Market.


What works:

Calls
Data
SMS
Wifi
GPS
Accelerometer
Vibration
Data based location
Compass, and finally....CAMERA!!!

What doesn't work (in progress)

Bluetooth
Video
Possibly more, let us know.

Known bugs/issues

Some apps from the market will download but not install (very few, believed to be solved once froyo apps2sd is included in the kernel)
Strange LED bug, Stays on full time while charging and when battery is full

Installation:
WIPE!...Flash with your favorite recovery.

Please be patient!
On first boot, wait for a minute for the home screen to be displayed (and the tip widget is displayed) before continuing...
Next go to settings -> Accounts and Sync and add your google account.

WAIT FOR THE ACCOUNT TO SYNC

Next go to Market and let it update Google Maps and Twitter (this will take a while).

After that... it's really up to you.
Have fun...Br3ttu & mad_fitter.

Beta 2-new kernel and data location fix.
Beta3-voice fix, Wifi fix as well as vpn fix.
Beta4-all fixes including camera.

I installed this last night from simply android. It's nice...and I can now get data.

It seems really laggy at first...but then it takes off like a scalded dog. I can't get any apps to go to SD...which I think is inherent in Froyo. I tried a trick using terminal to force it but it still didn't work...and kept me from being able to install any new apps. Many reports of titanium backup not working...I saw that as well.

This is the best Froyo for cliq out there. Keep up the great work!!!

BTW, I have a spare cliq that I can use to test changes if you need a guinea pig.

Titanium problems are with busy box. Go into "problems" and install busybox. That should help a great deal. As far as apps2sd, the build does not support it as of yet, but it is on the list.

I'm going to have to wipe and reinstall before I install anything...I made the mistake of uninstalling terminal emulator before I realized what I had done by forcing apps to the SD card...oops...Now I can't reinstall it in order to undo the command. Live and learn. At least it's my spare cliq so I can play as much as I want.

Do you have market at all? If so just download it from there.

the issue was that I forced it to try to install all apps to sd by entering pm setInstallLocation 2 in terminal emulator...which didn't work...then before I figured it out I uninstalled terminal emulator...then nothing installed...but I did a wipe and started over...now all is well...and now I have titanium backup working. You are correct that it was just because it needed busybox and for some reason that didn't load this morning. Everything is working as advertised...can't wait until the next patch.

Did you have an Issue with USIM or no.

I reported this bug on SA - Proximity sensor will not turn off screen when on a call. Face Dialing =)
For a quick GPS fix use fasterfix or manually go to where your at then 'Find Location' it will start working. Another cool feature I seen was to hangup using the power button...love that feature..other than that this ROM is great!

[MENTION=3111268]Double0EK[/MENTION] the fasterfix works awesome! I will let @Br3ttu know about this! I have sent him the current bug report for all that I have recieved so far. I am pretty much the messenger for him because he is tied up with the fixes for this ROM. He wants a pure FROYO from source (how can you blame him!). Thank you for the input!!!

Any possibility of an XT port? Only asking because this sounds like the fastest ROM yet from everything I've read here and on SA.
