There's a case you can do that. You can be connected through 3G and Wifi can be on if you are not "plugged in" to a wifi network or router. Obviously, if you were plugged in before to that wifi and password saved, your 3G connection will be replaced by Wifi, otherway 3G will continue working until you type the Wifi password.
Anyway, I don't understand what is the problem. If you are near a Wifi and you can connect through it, I think the best solution is to use Wifi instead of 3G, isn't it?

Any idea when you will be adding in-kernel RNDIS support so we can use Wired-tether.

Yes, absolutely agree

More testing... I love the dot on the screen marking the point where to slide the unlock symbol. I set up the "HTC_IME mod" because two things: I like more this user interface than the "Gingerbread" one (I think Gingerbread's keys are smaller) and some keys show more alternatives when you press the key for two seconds (for example, "n" key only shows "ñ"). The general feeling is very smooth (as it already was in 2.1.5.2 version) and I had no issues with physical nor "on screen" keyboards (I had it in other roms I've tested lately).
At the moment, as Adlx said in the first page, is a very good compilation of all the last items released.Last edited by CuervoCoruna; 01-26-2011 at 07:24 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Nope nope nope.. just to clarify.
You can use your phone normaly when connected thru wi-fi... the phone is smart enought to use the Wi-Fi (when enabled) to all DATA connections that don't need your operator like internet apps, twitter, facebook and others. You can send and receive SMS, make calls and everything even with the wi-fi connected. Your device will manage to send it thru your operator if needed.
What I'm saying is. When you SEE the wi-fi icon on the task bar, you won't see the 3G/2G icon in the task bar. But you can SMS, MMS or whatever you want to do. If what you are doing will need the operator connection the device will make that.Phone: MB200 Dext

Thanks to show otherwise. I have resolved as follows:
What you're saying to me is not a BUG since the original version of my Dexter (android 1.5) also was the same, active wifi and 2G/3G icon disappears. I even seem logical because the wifi has to take precedence over the 2G/3G data when it is.Code:1 .- Connect your phone to your PC. 2 .- I go into console and placed adb shell 3 .- Now I put this command: cat> / data / property / persist.sys.timezone 4 .- In the line below I put my time zone: America / Venezuela / Caracas 4 .- Press ENTER, followed by CTRL + C to exit. 5 .- Turn off your phone, restart and then I can change the zone from the settings (only to the area to put in the file.

impossible start the wifi
He Alex,
I come from Adlxmod 2.1.5-2, I wiped all then flash adlxmod-2.1.5-5-signed.zip + adlxmod-2.1.5-5-AzertyPatch-signed.zip the wifi doesn't work.
I proceed like you advice " In Motoblur setup, press menu, there should be an option to jump to wireless settings. There you can enable wifi " then reboot and it's still the same. I did it lot ...
I reflash tree times with no result : message "impossible start the wifi".

I try to flash without AzertyPatch.
Not Solved :
1 wipe
2 flash adlxmod-2.1.5-5-signed.zip
3 run, wifi is here. Connect to internet via my rooter
But when I flash adlxmod-2.1.5-5-AzertyPatch-signed.zip, wifi is gone message "impossible start the wifi"

Please Alex, can you see what is wrong with AzertyPatch ?Last edited by chakti; 01-26-2011 at 12:22 PM. Reason: AzertyPatch issue

For anyone who is having problems with turning on wi-fi. I found that this worked for me.
Find an APN program (like APN Droid) to disable your data connection (2G/3G). Disable the data connection. Power down your cliq and turn it on again.
Turn on wifi. This should work.
Go to APN program and turn on your data connection. I just figured it out so i'm not sure if i'm going to have to keep doing this.
adlx Thanks so much for your work on this rom. I've been using adlxmod for pretty much the majority of the time i have had my cliq.

Good job
Good job on the rom though on my unit I am having random reboots after updating. did a full wipe gonna try a few things and see if it fixes it. this may be due to restoreing some stuff so i hall attempt to rule this out.
