RELEASE CANDIDATE 1 RELEASED. SEE FIRST POST FOR CHANGELOG

Please report any bugs to me. I just gave back the Cliq I was testing this with so I thought I'd release this as RC1.

Um, I'm guessing all the Admins grew old and died. I haven't even seen @Dumba in quite a while. You deserve Developer status.

    Oh sad day.

EDIT: Oh, and where would it be appropriate to ask the following: "Which phone should the next Peach ROM cover as well?"
The reason I'm asking is because Cliq users are fading and I feel that it's time to expand my development. So I thought I'd give everyone here the choice because this is where the ROM began

I guess here is as good a place as any.

Hard to say which phone to choose. Moto and TMo seem to have parted ways. Pity. We were having such fun with them.

I'll definitely take that into consideration. If I get a few more votes, I'll check it out. Guess I'll start saving my money.

Sounds to be like your file is corrupted. Try deleting it from your SD card, and copying it back over. Retry.

If it still does that, redownload the file and try again

Please let me know if that fixes it!

To me it looks like you're active in the Cliq 2 Forum.

    ChipIn: New Dev Phone (TBA)

That would go towards the Cliq 2 if we go that route

I can't download apps in Google Play with the RC1, aren't compatible. Any solution? Thanks.

Make sure you get one that hasn't been updated to stock GB - can't be rooted. But a used motherboard can be had fairly cheap.

I have to say Moto did a good job on their latest f/w, imo - except for removing Blur & bloatware, of course.

specific apps? or... all apps? I've noticed that I can't download google Maps, so I'm working on that. Saurus sent me 2 cliq's for development. So many props to him! So I can continue development in a few days when I'm not working!

@saurus - I'll be sending a small token of my appreciation by the way

Alright. I'll have to see if that's the phone I'll go with. Just trying to find the phone that needs the most support, ya know? I'm looking into the Motorola Defy, as well.

Yeah, I figured you could use a spare in case one crapped out on you. They were both parts phones, and the screens are cranky sometimes. (I cured the white one by the oven method once.) It can be really irritating, so don't be too quick to thank me.

Defy would be ok too, but both phones are aging. dlamber7 ported 2ndInit from the Defy to C2, enabling it to be modded. Tatted was working on it late last year, but hasn't posted anything lately. Wanggjghost and Michaelbaker offered ports from Defy to C2 as well, CM7 and MIUI, I think. I need to get another C2 put together.

I hear LG, Samsung, HTC are less susceptible to brickage. But I've always been a Moto fan, ever since they started putting AM radios in cars. (Well, I'm not quite that old.)

I found this thread by accident when I was looking for a ROM to put on my old Cliq. My daughter has been driving me nuts for a newer phone, and this ROM is perfect! I don't have any Google apps installed, because I just want her to be able to call, text and take pictures/movies. The only bug that I've discovered is that the phone will hang on the incoming call screen if she uses handsfree earbuds, but that is something that isn't really needed. I remember how much I absolutely hated this phone after the last OTA update, and how slow and bogged down it was. Now, it's stupid fast and stable. Thanks so much!
