Read some posts on previous page(s) to see it was SJ's Magic Trick. But V9 pwns V8 as I see in the poll (real votes).

Thanks Semseddin for the signature and avatar.

It's been awile since the V8 was launched......Is this phone as durable as the v3?.....I'm kind of rough on phones in my line of work...How easy is it to mod? .....

I don't know about durability, but it is quite moddable. It runs MotoMagX which is a Linux OS for phones. Extremely customizable. Far more than the V3.

For sure the V8 is durable. I use mine now for over 18 month, each day in my jeans pocket at work as a garderner and it is working perfect, it got some wear, which is normal in those conditions. It is very modable thanks to the Linux OS, but still the full potential has not been reached yet, simply due to lack of knowledge about this Linux OS.

Though I must confess I do agree about the V8. I'd rather have it than the V9.

    V8? V9? Both still shiny~~~~~

Although V9 is a winner in my book for UMTS 2100Mhz V8 will fail to work with my carrier in Taiwan
