    [GUIDE] Tweak the built in task killer

    Scratch this :P Autokiller from the market will do everything and more for you in terms of tweaking these settings. This is what happens when you try to get smart at midnight. Haha.

    Apparently it also can be used to set the values, and then uninstalled, still keeping the values however. How it does this, I do not know quite yet - most probably adds it to the mot_boot file as well.

    Nevertheless, I shall look around for some more tweaks that I can make around the milestone system :P

    Cheerio,
    MrP.

    You should have searched the Market first.

    There is an app for it called Auto Memory Manager.

    Erm, the app is called AutoKiller, and allows you to set it up in terms of MBs ( each MB is 256 pages ) as well as pages.

    @Aumkar

    Auto Memory Manager does the same thing as AutoKiller but has a few differences. For example, it has "Aggressive" and "Mild" presets so that the user doesn't have to manually set the thresholds. Also, it shows you a tutorial on how to use it the first time you launch it. So, Auto Memory Manager is n00b friendly.

    AutoKiller was the first I think but Auto Memory Manager now seems just as popular as AutoKiller (same amount of downloads, same rating) most likely because of its n00b friendliness.

    @MrPadie

    After you change the settings using Auto Memory Manager, you can uninstall it and the settings will remain the same. I still don't see the point of that lengthy process when it can be easily done using Auto Memory Manager or AutoKiller.

    Well, Autokiller has the same presets I'm guessing.

    Anyway, both are equally functional. Settings can be restored to default as well.
