For anyone not wanting to recompile an SBF and happen to have a US AT&T motorola then I have uploaded a modded sbf which is here:
Modded-att-motus-viper-0.13.37_SECURE_PRODUCTION.sbf
Download and flash with RSDLite
For the software (Depacker, MotoDrivers, etc.) here is the link:
Free Cloud Storage - MediaFire
For anyone else or people who want to compile for themselves then continue to read below.
I have seen some people with this problem so I decided I would start a thread for the solution I came up with.
Last night myself being very tired decided to flash from 2.1 down to 1.5 as some of you know from experience or from knowledge this is a very bad idea because the official 2.1 has an updated radio.img. After flashing you will most likely be stuck at the USBINIT screen. If this is the case this is how you can fix it to get back to stock 1.5 with the updated radio.
First download Moto-Depacker
Second find your SBF that you tried to flash to but now your phone will not boot.
Third Open SBF in Depacker and click Split to folder
This should create a folder in the directory your SBF was in with the name of your SBF
This folder will include a bunch of MBN files
Then extract the update.zip you have in a different folder
There is a file in update.zip (or your 2.1 soak) called radio.img make sure you know where that was extracted
In Depacker click on MOTOBLUR then Extract radio.img
This will create a folder in the directory radio.img is in called radio-extracted with a bunch of MBN files
Copy and replace the files from radio-extracted to the directory that was created when you hit Split to Folder
Example (SBF NAME)/
After the files in your split folder have been replaced by the files from your radio-extracted folders go to Depacker and click Open Files Folder
Find your split Folder and select it
After that you should be able to hit Compile File
After compiling there will be a folder created in your Split Folder called rebuilt
In that folder there will be an SBF file
Use that SBF file to flash your phone with RSDLITE
After Flashing your phone should boot normally
I have done this myself and it has worked perfectly well.
Good luck to anyone having this problem and please post issues, concerns, and anything else in this thread.
(For anyone confused on the NOTE: before in this post I had these directions attached to a list of directions for someone to flash using rsdlite.. forgot to remove it lol.)
