Windows 7 On An Android?

I have been seeing tons of android phones with Windows 7 on them I have the motorola backflip. And I am Wondering how this is done?

Some manufacturers office similar devices with similar hardware but with diferent os offerings. Lg may make a device with the same internal hardware but sell 1 with winmobile while another model has android. Having

1 similar hardware set with different os makes it easier to make them cross compatible.

The asus p835 has pretty much the same hardware with winmo6.5 but not 7. The bf just does not have the hardware to run it
