Those errors that you are getting are from DisplayHardwareBase.cpp, because /sys/power/wait_for_fb_sleep and /sys/power/wait_for_fb_wake don't exist. I'm not sure what the correct fix is, perhaps a google search would help. You could comment out the lines of code that emit the errors in DisplayHardwareBase.cpp for now, just so you can concentrate on other logcat errors.

UPDATE: I think you need

CONFIG_FB_EARLYSUSPEND=y

Run 'make menuconfig', select Power management options -> User-space screen access -> select Sysfs interface

Apart from what firesnatch said, you will probably need this other patch too, because I bet our kernel has the old naming for them

Also, the gingerbread egl will NOT play nicely with ICS. You will get a lot of errors, for a start i would disable HW accel. then you can fix bigger errors.

Well, I've made some changes myself, and now I'm compiling to see if Cyanogenmod fix for touchscreen will work. (I think I'm doing right lol)
Anyway, I will upload this week, whenever I get a chance, the modifications I made to some files.

I'd like to gave a big thanks to TeamICS, without them this wouldn't be possible (at least from me)

@turl and @firesnatch, I haven't compiled any kernel yet for ICS. It booted with CM7 kernel and modules. As soon as the ICS build finishes, I'll focus on the kernel side.

I'll give the directions to what I made, mainly because I'm not that good into programing.

After initializing a build environment for android, do this repo:

$ repo init -u git://github.com/TeamICS/manifest_ics_cm.git -b ics

followed by

$ repo sync

Now u'll compile android ICS for HTC hero:

$ . build/envsetup.sh

followed by:

$ lunch full_hero-eng

and now to compile

$ make -j4

To get this hero build to boot in the CliqXT, u have to copy these files from MY BUILD!

- boot.img
- system/lib/modules
- system/build.prop
- META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
- system/etc/vold.fstab

and IIRC, it will boot;

Now there were some other files that u can either copy from my build or from CM7's:
Delete the folders and copy:

- system/etc/bluetooth
- system/etc/dhcpcd
- system/etc/init.d
- system/etc/firmware
- system/etc/wifi
- system/etc/vold.fstab
- system/usr/keychars
- system/usr/keylayout

And I think that's it!

Whoever wants to help, that's what I did. My mods over the build.prop / boot.img / updater-script can easily be found, but I'd just suggest taking them from my build.

Hey guys.

I'm still here and I will still try to make the ICS port to the Cliq XT. The thing is that right now we have a lot of holidays, and I'm spending them with my family, away from any work

The first thing I'll make on this project is to compile the kernel with ICS files. After that, the main issue is to solve the surface flinger problem. I'm guessing Turl and Firesnatch tips will work, and then we'll have a real logcat where we can actually search for the errors.

@firesnatch, I haven't given up yet Thought I don't have much experience with Android, I'll try to make things work. Thanks for the help u gave me this year, btw

Anyway, I'm on my way to make my mod's directly on the Hero Source, I hope that will make things easier. But don't expect it this week.
