Hey guys. I'll answer some questions:
The main Hero GSM threat that I've started to build the first ICS for XT is this: [ROM] Glassmacka - Ice Cream Sandwich. -"I'm too old for this ****." (25-12-11) - xda-developers
I've gotten his code (Simon's) here: www.github.com/TeamICS
But, after the 4.0.3 update, nobody was able to compile the code anymore.
That's when a guy named Jaybob managed to get the build compiling with 4.0.3 to the CDMA version of Hero.
Here he gives some explanation: [DEV] HeroC ICS 4.0.1 Development - Page 35 - xda-developers
Here is Jaybob's: [ROM][BETA 4.0.3][Evervolv-ICS-2.1.0-01MAR-HeroC] - xda-developers
Anyway, Jaybob said that he would be uploading the code that fix the compilation errors that we're having with 4.0.3; Hopefully that will help us get some candy too.
Getting back to the GSM version of Hero, here are the OpenGL 2.0 that enabled HW Acceleration on it: [MOD]Upgrading OpenGL to 2.0 - xda-developers
Some reports say that it's faster then Gingerbread lol
That's it folks. I'm now just waiting.
Quick remind: Don't ever flash the CDMA build on the CliqXT. Probable Brick; My build was based on the GSM Hero, ok?Last edited by marcelo92; 03-07-2012 at 10:38 AM. Reason: Stupidity at it's most ¬¬

If only 4.0.1 can compile, why don't we just work on getting that working instead of trying to track down errors in 4.0.3.
^ That should do the trick. This is going to be where I start from later today.Code:repo forall -c git checkout 4.0.1
@marcelo92 Thanks for the info

Amazing. The source code has been released by Jaybob. It's at Evervolv's Github.
I was going to compile, but my wifi suddenly broke in my linux OS. So I'm here to update u guys. That's it.
Good luck compiling it. Let's hope someone's successful.
The files to boot it into the XT are in my post on the second page.
Later!

That post at GrupoAndroid is in reference to this article at XDA:
Qualcomm Releases Adreno 2xx GPU Binaries for ICS! | xda-developers
The first Motorola Androids (Cliq/XT/BF or Dext/Quench/Motus) phones use the Adreno 130 gpu which is incorporated into the MSM 7200/1 Snapdragon S1 processor - (https://developer.qualcomm.com/disco...-modems/adreno). Unfortunatelty, the new drivers are for the Adreno 200 series, and probably have only limited, if any, value for MB200/300/501 models.
The 130 gpu apparently had some problems; Qualcomm has dropped all support for it (along with the S1 chip).Last edited by Saurus; 03-19-2012 at 12:21 PM.

Helo Guys! Jaybob updated his git sources, so we are able to compile ICS for HeroC again. (https://github.com/Evervolv)
Well, to build to the XT it's necessary to build to the Hero GSM, located here: https://github.com/TeamICS
I cannot tell if the GSM was updated, but the CDMA definitely was. So if anyone wants to compile, u should seek the mods in the Evervolv github and apply them into the TeamICS github. And then the files to boot in the XT are located in my build; (Basically the kernel, modules and update-script)
@adlx hey, if u want, we could work together this weekend. I cannot compile anymore, no more linux here. But I'd gladly try to help u and anyone. Maybe we could set up a team this weekend. @turl, @phoenixsong6 and @angourakis could join, I guess.

Um, what are you referring to? My previous comment was meant to indicate what to expect based on what I found, but I have no way to verify whether or not can be used. It's possible the drivers will work - at least to some extent - with the 130 gpu, but Qualcomm just doesn't support it anymore. It's up to the devs to decide whether or not it's worth pursuing.
