    ICS Booted on Cliq XT!

    Hello again. Now I come back with some good news. GREAT NEWS!

    I've got to ourselves some sweet delicious Ice Cream Sandwich!

    I'd like to thanks StritFajt on the Hero tread for helping me with this first build.

    So, as a proof of concept, enjoy. I'm also uploading the build, but PLEASE:

    THIS IS HIGHLY UNSTABLE AND COULD POSSIBLY BRICK YOUR ******* PHONE! Let the devs only flash this OK? Thanks!

    With the help of these guys (@turl, @adumont, @firesnatch and @kb7sqi), I'm sure we'll get a fully working ROM.

    May I remind you all that the ROM only boots. Nothing is possible to do after that.

    All my builds are located at the bottom of the post, right before the pics.

    UPDATE 18/12/2011 ChangeLog:

    - Fixed issues in Build.prop;
    - Fixed missing touch file (still no touch thought);
    - Updated hardware keys to match Zeppelin's ones;
    - Updated firmware files.

    INICIAL BUILD:

    - It Boots!;
    - Screen color is perfect;
    - RIL (It in fact recognized my operator);
    - Touchpad (The little touch button on the bottom of the phone).

    I wont post my logcat cause it got a little over 160 thousand lines >.

    Newest build:
    ICS-Zeppelin-0.0.19.zip

    Older builds:
    ICS-Zeppelin-0.0.11.zip

    Woo! Awesome work man!

    I've got no idea for the sleep/wake thing :/ . Maybe try to look in the galaxy nexus kernel sources and see where that could appear? Just an idea... Not really a solution.

    Thanks @adlx I'll do that. One more final to go tomorrow, and I'm all into this project.

    The biggest problem, I guess, is that the sleep/wake issue is a surface flinger problem, that may not be located ONLY in the kernel, but also in the gralloc.msm7k and/or egl libs. Well, lets see...

    Amazing. Anyone who says it can't be done is wrong.

    I notice you have the rare (at least from what I've seen as far as available stock for sale) white model. Looks great.

    Those errors that you are getting are from DisplayHardwareBase.cpp, because /sys/power/wait_for_fb_sleep and /sys/power/wait_for_fb_wake don't exist. I'm not sure what the correct fix is, perhaps a google search would help. You could comment out the lines of code that emit the errors in DisplayHardwareBase.cpp for now, just so you can concentrate on other logcat errors.

    UPDATE: I think you need

    CONFIG_FB_EARLYSUSPEND = y
    Run 'make menuconfig', select Power management options -> User-space screen access -> select Sysfs interface

    Hello again guys!

    Well, lets begin shall we:

    - About the Touchscreen
    I've tried the SDK port solutions on the CliqXT. It's a no go, for what I can say. When the kernel is booting it doesn't even detect any input method, so after the initial boot the system wont even try the solution. I think this issue will only go away for good in the linux kernel. I'd like to thanks stritfajt for pointing me the direction.

    - About the Graphic Issue
    Firesnatch, I'll try that in a couple of days. It's looking like it might work, I guess. Anyway, if it doesn't, I'll comment the lines until further more, like you said.
    blackwing182, I will look into the launcher FC issue after the touchscreen, but thanks! I think the Gingerbread EGL libs will work nicely on ICS, and I have already put them into my build. Anyway, as I said, it's a little further down the road that.

    I'm updating the build with one that I think I might have fixed all the hardware keys. Who knows, it's worth a shot.
    I've also fixed miss matches in the build.prop

    That's all guys. Have anyone tried something yet?

    BTW, thank you all for the support
