yes to hand recognition and it works well too not sure about wifi never use it so dont really know

Wi-fi is in the hardware. If the device doesn't have a wi-fi card, it cannot be enabled.

Why r u expecting a WiFi-capability while THIS kinda machine was of 2007 guyz?

Some guys also were expecting a wifi capability in rokr E2, due to there are some SD cards with wifi:
eye-fi-4gb-wifi-sd-card.jpg
but sadly, developers told that it only may be possible by re-compiling the kernel

The E2, and so E6, were totally discontinued by Moto. Supposed that they're still be available now, yea they could be have those devices attached, if, Moto wanted them to. - And I think this is not just by making up the Kernel itself but also the hardware as an interface in between
