How to use GMAIL with A1200 email client
EDIT 8/6/07: I have found that changing the SMTP port to 25 ensures I have no problem at all sending email...
Be sure to enable POP access with your GMAIL account first!!!!!
The following settings are useless unless you enable it.
Now, just substitute your email info below in the (bracketed) areas:
SEND SET UP
server: smtp.gmail.com
port: 25
email: (youremail)@gmail.com
nickname
youremail)@gmail.com (note that you have to use your nickname plus the @gmail.com, not only your nickname)
authentication: on
same as receive setup: yes
use ssl: yes
RECEIVE SET UP
pop3
server: pop.gmail.com
port: 995
username: (youremail)@gmail.com
password: *****
reeinter pw: *****
keep on server: on (checked)
incoming msg size limit: 64k
use ssl: yes
Now, take note of the fact that GMAIL will not "PUSH" your email to your A1200...you have to manually check it to see if you have mail.
any problems or questions? PM me.Last edited by Jack; 09-05-2007 at 11:36 PM.

. The only setup that works for me is the procedure explained by Jackmary
