That's correct. The way how Cliq was rooted on the sec. version 0006 is by Orange France update.zip having the kernel with ro.secure=0.
Added two Chinse firmwares. You should be able to flash them over the Cliq XT ones.Last edited by Skrilax_CZ; 07-07-2010 at 05:28 AM.

Is there any Custom Recovery with open source? I know some people who are interested in adapting it to Quench/CliqXT.

Skrilax_CZ -
As you already know I *do* recognize your *great* work and, above all, thank you for it. I've been learning a lot with your posts. BTW, it's worthwhile to say I'm an Open Recovery fan/user (it has been saving me a lot of time).
Well, speaking of Cliq XT/Quench, I haven't flashed Chinese fw yet, mainly because I don't know its WCDMA frequencies... that's why I ask you (if itīs possible) to provide that info along with download links on the 1st post... you know, like we have on and-dev.
Once more, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

I've tested the chinese firmware for a couple of minutes.
It brings the google apps more updated then in T-Mo or TIM firmwares but the virtual keyboard is horrible.
Also, it's not rootable. I loved the screen when the phone turns on, it's the same we see on milestone, with the word Android... and that's all.
And of course, there is no customizations but the only languages supported are chinese (traditional and simplified) and english
Best Regards
