Hello!
I try to unlock my phone because i can't find any paying unlock code.
So i use this steps:
* Boot into recovery and install http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/...ange.en.FR.zip
* After install run :
adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.imgwith this file : http://modmymobile.com/forums/548-mo...8-24-10-a.html
* i go in the new recoveryn wipe all, and put CliqXT_STOCK_1.32.20.zip named update.zip and try "flash zip from sd"
But i have an error :
What i miss ?Copying files...
E: can't chown/mod /system/xbin (Ne such file or directory)
E:Failure at line 61:
set_perm_recursive 0 2000 0755 0...
Installation aborted.
I think after that (if it's ok) i must install radio5036CliqXT.zip, put memdump.ko in sd card and run
adb shell insmod /sdcard/memdump.ko
My phone is a Motorola dext (EU name) Cliq lock on Orange France.
Sorry for my english and thank for your help !

CliqXT_STOCK_1.32.20.zip is for T-Mobile CliqXT (Quench) MB501, not for Cliq/Dext MB200.
After the phone is rooted and j_r0dd's recovery is installed, the first thing to do is to make a full backup.
Be sure to use the cliq_unlock.rar file, not the one for Cliq XT.
For Dext, just flash http://modmymobile.com/forums/downlo...=file&id=28142 (you can create a fake Blur account if you don't already have one).
Then install the memdump module (insmod) and unlock your phone.
After that, install a custom rom from recovery. (If you flash a stock .sbf it will lock your phone again.)
If you lose 3G data you will have to flash the Chinese radios, but I believe Orange is compatible with T-Mo 3G radios.Last edited by Saurus; 03-22-2012 at 11:29 AM.

Thank for your answer !
I have two questions
(Sorry ^^) :
* How can i backup the phone ? (I haven't data on this phone, there are a risk for my sim ?)
* The link (http://modmymobile.com/forums/downlo...=file&id=28142) is dead. (Yesterday the same) I just wait for return ?
So when the link is ok :
* Add file on sd card, flash it with the new recevery (already installed, see join picture)
* Upload memdump and use insmod for run it
* Try to unlock phone
Why i must flash another rom after ? I can't this the 1.32.20 ?

You can back up the phone firmware from the custom recovery menu ("Nandroid" item).
After flashing the T-Mobile file it will be locked to T-Mobile. You will likely need a T-Mobile SIM (I don't remember) to sign in to MotoBlur (required, no opt-out).
Then you will have to root it again to install the memdump.ko. Then restore your original nandroid backup.
You can use the T-Mobile file but it has T-Mobile bloatware and you MUST create a Motoblur account before you can use the phone. Its radio.img file is for 900/1700/2100 3G frequencies, which is a problem for those who own 850/1900/2100 Dext phones.
I don't know what's going on with the downloads.

mb300 (backflip) unlock
i have a mb300 using an italian firmware (Brazil - VIVO) and it's counter blocked (0 attempts left)
how could i perform that unlock from Yakk? Is there a specific firmware to be installed in this case?
thx

yakk's method requires att-motus-viper-0.13.37_SECURE_PRODUCTION-supermonster-customer.zip firmware. If you find it (google) you can flash it with RSD Lite. AT&T uses the same 3G frequencies as most of South America, so you shouldn't lose 3G, but you should research this yourself before flashing.
Root the phone with Superoneclick (version 1.6 works, if not the later ones).
yakk's original post is here (in Russian) - http://forum.androidfan.ru/index.php?showtopic=5014. Follow his instructions using the download file for the backflip.
Then install a recovery with adlx's 1-Click Recovery Flasher and a custom rom of your choice.Last edited by Saurus; 07-19-2012 at 09:17 AM.

Saurus, i've tried that. But my cellphone could not be flashed using that firmware. RSD reports: Failed

If you are a Vivo subscriber, you could call their customer support and ask that it be reset. Another method that would work for older phones is to leave it turned on for perhaps a day or two with a good signal indicated. After some hours - or days - the counter would reset. But this all assumes the phone is branded and originally subsidized by Vivo.
I suspect that RSD fails because your phone has a higher bootloader version than the firmware required by yakk, which means that his method will not work for you.Hic sunt dracones...

Saurus, Vivo told me can't do anything about it and i'm going to resolve this situation at the court. Anyway, I'll try to leave it turned on for a few days hoping a counter reset.
Yakk provided the memdump.ko code. Could anybody recompile it to work on the firmware i run (motus-retail-it-0.3.6-supermonster-customer-secure.sbf), please ??
Thx everybody.

Retail Italy firmware suggests to me that it may not have been sold by Vivo. But if it were imported from Italy, it would have to be unlocked for use on Vivo network, since they don't appear to be affiliated with any carrier outside of Brazil. Also, it would explain why they can't help with resetting or unlocking the phone, if its IMEI is not in their database. So I am confused.
Recompiling yakk's .ko for any particular release would be a bit of work. I believe he posted a copy of his source on motofan, but it would require someone with requisite expertise (and motivation).Hic sunt dracones...

Saurus, this mobile was sold by Vivo in Brazil. I took the phone to a motorola technical assistance and the answer was: "The only thing we can do to fix it is replace the board." but it costs almost the price of a new one.
Well, i guess it's now a paper weight.

There is too much unknown - Vivo does not use retail Italy firmware. Perhaps someone flashed it over the original to try use it on TIM. Perhaps the motherboard has been replaced (dial *#06# and compare IMEI on label) If so, neither carrier nor an unlock service will be able to unlock it. If you can't flash AT&T f/w then yakk can't unlock it either.
Sometimes RSD reports "fail" at the end, but the phone will still boot (and you will probably need an AT&T sim). But if not, then you have a paperweight.Last edited by Saurus; 07-21-2012 at 08:41 AM.

My phone is originally from Vivo but at now I'm trying to use it on TIM. I though the Vivo retail firmware was the italian one. My fault. Anyway, as you said, i should be able to flash at&t f/w to unlock it using yakk method.
So, is there nothing i can do to enable an at&t fw flash?
- 07-22-2012, 07:43 AM #300
I am at a loss to explain why the ATT flash won't work; it is a higher secure version, but lower bootloader, it seems.
The only Vivo firmware for MB300 I can find is on usenet.nl, but they like money. And it may not restore your phone. TIM firmware is nonexistent.Last edited by Saurus; 07-22-2012 at 08:08 AM.
