    Question New User-What to do?

    Howdy All,
A very kind friend is donating her used, Stock T-Mobile XT.
#1- I need to unlock it so I can use it on AT&T. Looking for a relatively easy and FREE way if possible?
#2- What are some simple things I SHOULD do to "Freshen" the phone? I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5.
#3- Is there an Android 2.1 version that works properly for the XT?

Many Thanks in advance, Very excited!!!

    Hello,

I can only answer the 3rd question. I use this ROM in my CliqXT (actually, a Quench): [ROM] Adlxmod XT 2.1.54-1 for CliqXT / Quench

It works very well and, following the instructions posted in the ROMs forum topics, it was easy to apply it.

    Good luck!

Ask your friend to call T-Mo customer service and ask for the unlock code first. Its free and should only take up to 20mins to 48hrs depending if they want him/her to wait for it.
