I had no problems rebooting. I deleted im.apk, myfaves.apk, umm, trying to remember the other one I deleted.

Still trying to find the imeem application...

Careful with removing google applications. Might break market access.

Why would you want to get rid of GTalk?

    Code:
    adb shell
    cd system
    cd app
    ls
That allowed me to see what programs are installed that cannot be removed normally.
I then proceeded to do the following:
    Code:
    rm example.apk
I suggest you only delete things that are fairly self-contained. I don't know what would happen if you were to delete BLUR-related apps.
After doing this, you should probably do the following:
    Code:
    reboot
I would also delete files from dalvik-cache at the same time (/data/dalvik-cache/) to make sure that you delete all of the traces of removed apps. You can go as far as clearing that whole directory as a matter of fact, Android will rebuild it at the boot.

To those who want to remove Google apps: DON'T!!! It will give you all kind's of trouble. Also, can someone confirm that it's OK to remove MyFaves? Try rebooting and making a call, change a contact. MyFaves gave us all kinds of trouble in the original RC33 roms as it was tied in to Contacts, and Dialer and bunch of other things.

Here's a list of "safe" apps to remove (this is coming from G1, but I'm pretty sure that it would be true for any other phone)

    Voice Dial
    Voice Search
    Amazon.mp3
    IM
    Audio Postcard
    Email
    Imeem
    My Account
    TeleNav
    Shazam
Quick Office (although why would you remove that?)
Calculator (again, I would keep it)
Alarm Clock (if you use replacement, like Klaxon)

    Dude, nice seeing you back...

@TheDude and Danation and every other guy working hard on getting Root on this bad boy, thanks so much! I'm looking forward to a clear guide on how to put custom versions of Android (Sense 2.1, gasp!) as well. I really appreciate the hard work every one has been doing and I am downloading all of the necessary files right now so I can be ready to hack this bad boy over my winter break!

I think it is networkaddress (something, sorry, didn't save name).apk

IM went away with just removing IM.apk (don't remove improvider).
