ALL shx files must be flashed using rsd lite. ALL roms must be flashed using recovery

I did everything by instruction only thing I can't do is open rsd as admin. On my cpu running vista

I did this but my date and time wont sync and when I try to set manually it doesnt save. I cant download from the marked either, it says "Download fail try again"

I updated my phone before I rooted maybe thats why....if I unroot and run the update again will my phone return to normal?

This is a very basic and important mod. I keep it here instead of develompent forum. Ask TheDudesAndroid about updating it fo 1.3.18.

Ok, so I guess I just screwed myself... I followed the directions at the top of this thread with the exception of using the 1.3.18 SHX file posted by Jr33 (here: http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/show....php?p=3902502) instead of the "Boot + Amon_RA Recovery SHX" files listed in Step2 and now all my phone does is just continuously reboots.

How do I fix this mess I created (dumb-ass newbie trying to hang with the big dogs)????

I've followed all the step and do it carefully, but the result was my cliq is now brick,
it just have a black screen with blue line at the bottom says "bootloader USB init"

is there any way to unbrick/unroot my phone?
dont tell to call TMO becoz i'm not in US and i'm buying my phone from ebay.

above worked for me too. perfectly.......... not gonna flash any roms from different countries as will affect you getting new updates of 2.1 when released. US or Fr firmware will affect this as it does on my Milestone

hey guys

i have uk orange Dext and rooted with Amon-RA recovery. when try to update firmware officially through system update it says that there are 2. when downloaded and launched it boots into recovery and says can't load 'orange blah blah.zip' and fails. any ideas?

this is the way to do it I think this should be posted in the 1st post very simple rooting method I know nothing about the cliq and got it on the 1st try

I just got my phone 4 days ago. I'm not a newbie to moding or Linux but I am to cell phones. Could someone answer the following:

1. Does this replace the kernel and other system files?
2. Will this cause problems with later updates (ie: 1.6 or 2.0)?
3. Will an update from Motorola undo this change?

Hi,
I flashed successfully my Dext from Orange FR but I need to get AZERTY back, so I copied the boot.img from Orange's ROM but I lost root access. Any idea?

Hi,

I flashed my Dext too, and get the AZERTY keyb (flash boot.img). I can use su command, delete apps, but can't use root apps like titanium. Otherwise, i don't have superuser withelist or other, and can't install it. It's very strange, the "id" command return uid=10050 in place of 0 and titanium tell "busybox works but the su command does not elevate to root: whoami reports whoami:unknown uid 10101 ....
i think your superuser whitelist system app does not work.

So i re-flashed, and it's remain the same. Perehaps something is missing? the flash process let all my environment in place, all the apps are here.
