i seem to be running into a problem. i flashed it, slapped on kb's newest rom, worked fine. now my phone just gives me the security speech and after about 80 flashes now my screen stays black and the message/power light just keeps flashing. any ideas on what to do to save it?

I'm new to rooting phones, and I have everything setup according to the specs in the beginning of the tutorial, but when I try to flash my phone I keep getting an error message in RSD lite that the JUMP failed and it doesn't continue with the flash. I've tried using the .shx file from this tutorial, the one from the redmondpie article, and Handler 1.5 file, but none of them are working. I've installed the 4.5 drivers, and i've re-downloaded and installed RSD Lite, and all the command prompts are working. Could someone help please?

Also I'm running the OTA update for 4.1.8, if that makes a difference

having back light issue after flash. have to use a flash lite to see the screen. ideas?

never mind. just fixed it. i hit it on the table and the back light came on.thats funny

ok,something with mine got jacked somewhere i think. RSD Lite worked fine,but it seems i have no recovery image,it wont go into recovery. When i boot up i have no service and the date stays on dec 31 1969. I followed the instructions to the letter,im new to the cliq,but have rooted a good number of g1's for friends. so,how can i get the original recovery and bootloader back,is there by chance an original shx file i can reflash to restore what messed up somehow......Ok got it fixed,just had to flash the original firmware and start over. im glad ths is easier than trying to fix a g1 issue,actually not much different than modding the old razrs. kinda cool. RSD has saved my butt on numerous occasions,thank god,my wife would be pissed if i messed up a 400 dollar phone...oye

Hi everybody, I sucessfully rooted my phone and Installed The Dudes CliqCake v0.4.1. T-Mobile US, Blur Version 1.1.13
My phone is a Motorola Dext from Movistar Spain.
This morning I receive in my phone:
"Update Available:
This is the first step to update the motorola Cliq 1.4.8 software..."
"A critical update 1.3.17.en.US is available....."

Should I apply this update?
Or I should not apply any updates to a rooted phone?
