help: eclair2cliq data on AT&T

When I loaded eclair2cliq onto my cliq I absolutely loved it. The phone has needed it for a long time. However, I was unable to get AT&T's edge service, although I was able to place and receive calls over the network. I thought it could be a problem with the APN, so i went to try some values I found online, but after saving the APN configuration it did not appear in the list, making me think this could be the root of the problem. Please help, I have searched for an answer thoroughly on these forums, please help me.

Yes it is the problem. Even some T-Mobile customers (like myself) doesn't have a data connection. Again this is an ongoing problem that cannot be fixed until the official 2.1 is released. There are plenty ot threads regarding this issue with APNs and Data loss with E2C.

SORRY- I was just browsing in the development section and one of the devs there is saying maybe he can build a patch to get it to work...this was just posted today so I'm not too sure if it will be successful...trying not to get my hopes up because I don't want to get disappointed. I really would like to use E2C as a daily...wish them luck!
