Long story short my cliq has an issue where the keyboard only works when the backlight is off. With Eclair2cliq I was able to successfully remedy this issue by using an application called "backlight off" which kept the keyboard backlight off all the time.
Following an upgrade to 2.1 blur the backlight off application only turns off the keyboard lights momentarily and then they are back on rendering my keyboard useless just as it was with the original 1.5 blur.
My question is, is there any way to put the keyboard backlight controls from Eclair2cliq into 2.1 blur? Otherwise would it be possible to make an option to turn the keyboard backlight off in the ROM?
why don't you just flash back to stock 1.4.8 and send it back to motorola? I just tested it from the unrooted 2.1 downgrading to 1.4.8,no brick,you should be safe.
