I have never rooted before, and I am quite hesitant at the moment. I have been waiting for 2.1 for sooo long and have been looking to root just never had the time or the will power haha.

I had a few questions though about the process that I wanted to clear up:

1. How can I back up all of my apps, so I dont lose them and their settings.

2. As of now, are the 2.1 ROMS worth the upgrade. [Lag, battery life, things not working]

3. Will my contacts be easily imported from my gmail accounts / can I use my old blurr account.

4. When the actual release is .. released.. haha will I be able to upgrade.

5. When I flash say Opencliq 2.5 and then opencliq 2.6 comes out and have to flash.. will I lose everything and have to reload everything again. (quite painful haha)

Only thing not working is 3D. Lag isn't bad if you use LauncherPro or ADW instead of BlurHome

Yes and Yes

Sure, but stay rooted - and keep the benefits.

IF OpenCliq 2.6 comes out, most likey yes. But don't use 2.5, if you want working Hardware, OpenCliq is based off of Eclair2Cliq which is missing bt, camera and sensors in addition to 3D acceleration.

oh i love the syncing and the widgets, but its just not enough for me to enjoy blur.

but just using the rom untill travisjames releases the E2C beta (hopefully today)

Sounds good seems that I shall be rooting quite soon
