Rooted Cliq, no su access

Hi all... after scouring the forums for several days, I can't find anything to help me with my issue. There seems to have been a thread on this site at one time, but it has been moved or deleted and I can't get it to come up.

I rooted my phone a week or so ago (I was anxious for 2.1, and decided to take a leap of faith). I have installed and used a lot of root-only apps, but am having problems gaining su access.

In adb, this is what I get when I try:

I talked to the creator of Barnacle, and he wasn't able to help much... this same error shows up when I try to start the WiFi tether.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue for me? It's kinda irritating to know I'm so close, yet so far from full superuser access.

I'm having the same issue on brwnMOD v3.0

Install SuperUser2.2.2 and it will give the phone terminal root access.

when using Barnecle go into that apps settings and turn the check OFF for 'SKIP wpa_supplicant' then try tethering again. It should work. GL

I went out and found Superuser 2.2.2 and flashed it... I have SU access now!
