Ya man, if you can't make any of those work, I'm afraid you are temporarily bricked. You will have to use RSDlite to reflash your prefered firmware, re-root, and try again at the custom recovery and ROM of your choice. The bible is called what it is for a good reason. Everything you will need can be found there. If you do run into any problems, feel free to PM me. Good Luck!

okay so i managed to flash the sbf file. I just rooted it, but now I can't go into recovery mode. I can start the phone and it can boot normally, but now it ends up freezing after I press the Vol Down button.

Ok, this sounds to me like your recovery wasnt flashed properly. Refer to the cliq bible about flashing a new recovery, If the phone is still booting, you should be fine. Use terminal to enter this command. Just type su, if you see this #, then yes, you are rooted, you can very easily flash a new recovery. Happy flashing!

Yea I rooted properly, I see the #. I type in "flash_image recovery /sdcard/(recovery image name)" and I try to boot into recovery mode and it freezes, when I press Vol UP, I get **Security on, fastboot disabled**

Don't Volume Up! You have to Volume Down to get into recovery...it says it on that screen...

If you can get the phone to the usb mode (hold down menu key and plug phone into mains charger) rsd lite should see it. With mine i had to unplug mains and plug to computer very quick as battery was low. Also rsd lite 4.5.7 did not see the phone. In desparation I uninstalled rsdlite 4.5.7 and installed rsdlite 3.5 which connected to the phone I then reinstalled rsdlite 4.5.7 which then connected to the phone ??? (dont know why this worked but it did) and flashed a recovery.img I could then use adb to flash a new rom and all was well. good luck
