Dext (Cliq) will not boot or go into recovery mode

Doubt it, what recovery did you flash and what precedure did you use?

Iused recovery-0.99.3 but that didnt seem to work then i was using droidhelper and I am not sure what I did but i asked it too boot to recovery mode

I have since taken battery out put it back ad tried to verbose boot (Volume up) and recovery (volume down) without success

refer to the ciq bible under cliq general. j_r0dd has an excellent and very user friendly recovery in his 1.8.1.

do you have adb set up on your pc?

You should be able to try this:
1) adb devices (if you see your device number, continue)

2) on your pc, unzip the recovery you want to use, rename it recovery.img, place it on your c:, not in any files.

3) adb push c:/recovery.img /sdcard

4) adb flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img

5) adb reboot recovery

I'm not 100% sure of this, but without using RSD lite to flash a new firmware and going through the whole rooting process again, this is the only thing off the top of my head. Give it a shot and let me know what transpires.

i can get it to the fast boot loader screen says usb FastBoot VO5

Do you have RSDlite, If so try this, no gaurantees. Turn on RSD with administrator permission, power the phone down, then power up while holding down the menu button. This will get you to the blue bootloader screen. Then, RSD should now recognize the device, then try the adb again. I ran into that same situation a few times when I first rooted, this is how I made adb recognize it. You might even get adb to recognize it in bootloader.

Are you able to reach the blue "m" bootloader screen at all?

Also, try this one. With the phone powered off, plug it into the wall charger and hold down the menu key. If you can then get to the blue usb init screen, quickly plug the phone back to the pc. Then try rsd and adb again.
