My Motorola cliqs (Im on my 3rd) have all given me problems with navigation.I already did warranty replacements with tmobile (2) and a warranty repair with Motorola. My 3rd replacement phone is doing the same thing again. I haven't used the replacement much. i had it sitting around waiting for the 2.1 update to come out. I upgraded via the instructions on Motorola's website. I called Motorola today and spoke to their higher level tech support. The tech told me that it looks like a hardware problem with my phone. It would power off randomly. first it was Google navigation then it started doing it when i clicked other apps ( gmail and market). After booting into recovery i did a wipe/data factory reset from there.
Navigation worked for about 15 min before it started crashed again.
Any advice or troubleshooting help would be awesome.
Did it really help? Do you mind uploading a vid that shows your phone running normal speed in maps VS under clocked? This CLIQ thing is getting on my nerves.
I dont have a video camera, but if i get one soon i will post the video. if i run google maps at full speed (or any other cpu demanding app), mi dext reboots, currently im @320 and no reboots, i tried @480 and reboot once playing paper toss.
You guys have all under clocked your devices? I'm waiting on Monday for their tech support to be in. I wonder if i can work an upgrade to another Moto android device. The funny thing is, this phone is $450 USD on their website. This is the most expensive Motorola phone branded for T-Mobile.
Forgive me for not seeing the reason for the price. Ive been using my girlfriends G2 for two weeks now, that thing is everything and a bag of chips. But she wants it back and it looks like I'm going to go back to my G1. If worse comes to worse, I'm going to unlock the next CLIQ I get and ebay it.
