1. Look to see if you can spot signs of water damage (there should be three spots that you should look at)
Spot 1. Look for a hole next to the sd card. It should be white. If it red or any tone of red then your motherboard is fried and you should see if you can get a cheap motherboard if not then a new phone.
Spot 2. Under the battery just above the sim and sd card slots.
Spot 3. Check the battery it self. There should be a water damage stick on the bottom if that is white with pink stripes then you fine for the battery.
If the water damage sticker is not red in spot 1. Then your in luck.however your not completely ready to go.
You should remove the mother board and soak it in alcohol (NOT THE DRINKING TYPE) google how to repair a water damage phone and it will tell you the name of the alcohol. Once you buy that alcohol, let the motherboard soak in it for an entire day. The next day, take white dry rich and submerge the soaked mother board in the rice so that the rice can suck up all the alcohol. This will usually take a day or two. Once the motherboard is dry place it back in the phone, let the phone charge, and then turn it on. If that doesn't work then its better for you that you go and buy a new phone...
