i switched from dext - maybe i shouldnt have, but it's done anyways.
My problem is that i have cm7 on my milestone - EU - with root and stuff, but I dont have recovery, since i use a different sd-card than the previous owner...
so i'm pretty clueless what to do. I do have root permission and a custom rom, and bootloader 90.78.
But i cannot enter recovery to flash froyomod/cm6/cronos...
I need another rom to be able to do a factory reset, i cant do it with cm7..
Nandroid doesn't work for all partitions on XT720. Specifically, bpsw and devtree won't dump. I think I've chased this down to the fact that these partitions are not listed in /proc/mtd (which is what I think dump_image relies on).
The wiki at droid-developers.org says there is a kernel module from janneg that exports all mtd partitions that Motorola's kernel didn't export, but all the links (source, precompiled) seem to be dead. Does anyone have a copy of that? Or is that what part-STR.ko is (I have verified that part.ko is loaded in OR using lsmod)?
I tried it in my XT711 using XT720 OpenRecovery.
adb Shell stated that installation done. When I powered up the phone in recovery mode, it still loaded the original recovery, but not the new one.
So this OpenRecovery does not work with XT711 ?
If it doesn't.Maybe we can Modify it for xt711?
I want to modify it but I don't know the principle of Openrecovery.
I have very energy to explore it.But I am hardly need your help.
If your can provide the source code ,and the compiler platform.
That is the best!
