Ok I have my "kind of wish" again, while last time it ended up me getting the Droid X UI instead of Sense

What do I need to install if I want this:
    - USB Tethering
    - Flash

Oh and I've stuck the thread.

    1. Can the SenseUI image get same "Sticky" treatment? (please) in advance
    2. i'm about to put an image together which includes the wifiteether application. (needed a correctional fix)
    3. flash can be downloaded from the market, after installation.

Lol yeah. And now my keyboard light doesn't work. Anyway, I took a MyBackupPro backup ( people said it didnt work with Froyo but its alright since I'm not using Apps2SD )

Can you link me to where the fix is at..? I'll get to work on it..

EDIT - Okay, well the backlight goes off when the display's autobrightness setting is on.. It works well for the other three widget settings ( I use the Power Control Widget )

    @dext3r,

when playing around with the stuff on the Android ID, i found a possible fix for our phones regarding the use of Tethering (.. for Root Users).

Not sure what and why you deleted these DB in your fix, but

in the file "tether.edify" in /data/data/android.tether.conf from the app Tethering for Root users the confi and callup of drivers is stored.

So, we can either revert back in our build.prop to identiy the correct devide (droid)

    OR

change the code in Module loaded (go to Motorola XXX in the tehter.edify- (ie tell it to take your Wlan.ko driver instead of the tiWLAN_drv.ko

You didnt tell us yet what NEGATIVES your fix brings

The GPS doesn't seem to be working, as in it never locates the Satellite. Has anyone had the same problem?

    Thanks for 2.2, brilliant.

Nope, I just tested. GPS works. It just took a while to get a lock from a cold start ( I like... never use GPS, ever )

Please enlighten me on these DB files removed in fix? i have not removed any configs, but maybe not ever included them, that could be..

i fond some libs included in another FRF91 droid release which seems to enable teethering with wfi, and i tested and it works. but note, i also added the tiwlan_drv.ko link you mentioned.
but those are not part of any official droid leak.

I'm really hoping the official Droid update.zip contains a Moto signed kernel.

Then technically we'd just have to change the radio.img and we'd have proper Froyo. Right?

dext3r, dont know but somehow your (and mine) nandroids, although wiped contain the IDENTICAL Android_ID - whichs some games and websites use to identify stuff with.

This ID brings us all to a persons account in the US, which i assume is someone from the Modaco team where you based your intitial build on.

Now, I managed to figure out how to cure it, but our setting is in the /data partition -where it should be. SO our fix will work, however every wipe or other things that tamper with /data/data/com.android folders could wipe it again, and it may fall back to the "hardcoded" one from Modaco..

and the weird thing is, this Android_ID is supposed to be uniqley created by your IMEI and the Google accound info which we all put in at start. But somehow, it doesnt see that as a change to the Android_ID and keeps the same for all of us...

    2. It works fine, i use it daily..so somehow you mean something else? try the "compass" from market and see..
    3. correct.

    not exactly.

Droid kernels are sign'd, but not using the same signature as our milestone checks. and Droid phone's do not check the signature at all, so they can indeed also be without.

we need an official milestone 2.2 leak , to continue the work already seen for now, to get the remaining features in place, but then an official leak might do just as well when/if it gets out.

hopefully nothing big..if i remove something like "AlarmClock" i will write it, but seems like no one cares about that application anyways.

but so far, i have not intentionally brought negatives into the image..
on the other side, you have brought some more "positives" into the 2.2 semi image we got running. More users gets their native language. I was sadly not one of them 100%, seems that only a HTC froyo rip will solve that, so ill try the HTC Incredible rip once more, although framework is a problem..

im still gathering information, and if Thyrus got some updates too, we will get an image together before the release of this fix.

Dext3r - I am now playing with some of the files from the FRG01 image (2.2) for the droid. SO far, I have good progress, but as FRF84, it is all english and spanish sadly.

But on the plus side, I will try to use some generic libs from it, and maybe, just maybe, if I highjack some other apps, this may help with bugs such as the missing notification lights... But the FRG01 Apps and Frameworks all work on our port

Hm.. Well, don't you just need a valid Motorola signed kernel? I mean, not necessary that the whole image be signed, but just the kernel/update.zip? Anyway, when it officially comes out, itll be worth a try.

As for an official leak, since Moto is being ghey about it, and saying its not even in the testing stage is very depressing and not very helpful. We may never get a Froyo install.

Hm.. try enabling airplane mode and disabling it. Sometimes, when my wifi doesnt connect ( router is in my room ), thats what I do.

Yeah, the MMS.apk fixed some notification lights for me. I dont have missed call installed, but my handcent notification works. Gmail and Gtalk notification LEDs don't work yet. I'll download the FRG01 image soon and see what messing around I can do in terms of app replacement ( cuz thats the extent of my knowledge :P )

ROMABR, as treated before Canada, Brazil, Venezuela and some others countrys uses a different band for 3G. If u dont backup the 4 original 3G Files and restore it over this nandroid once installed u gonna have poor signal, sms problems and HSDPA loss (even if u set apn and get conection its gonna be crappy one).

Maybe Desxter should include this note on First post so people dont keep asking and informing this.

Read back some pages of this thread a solution is posted...

    Regards
