Hi dext3r,

I flashed a complete new system/app and framework on your image based on the Nexus Innovation OS FRF91 ROM and tweaked it, plus added a few goodies (sense like weather and people widgets, battery hack, HTC IME, LauncherPro, MusicMod, new widget backgrounds) in order to achieve a Sense like look. The system is certainly deodexed and zipaligned. One thing I found so far, that my battery life has improved a lot compared to previus versions.

Okay, I seem to be having a problem.. My Wifi won't auto turn off when I put the phone in sleep mode even though all the settings are set to that.


edit - Okay, I just replaced the tiwlan_drv.ko with the wlan.ko ( ie, followed the instructions on Android-Hilfe ).. and lets see if this problem persists.. cuz its draining my battery like mad. 100% to 70% in 2 hours..cuz the wifi was on the whole time.

Given the fact that dext3r now used my release as well as all my fixes in his release, I will most probably discountinue my Edition. No need to do double work.

but of course , i hope you continue to assist, find new solutions.. making this on my own is pretty hard..

wlan.ko is the only correct one for now...simply because other "vendors" use wlan (eth0) device, so drivers needs editing..

but i got the same issue actually, so let me try and dig into a fix for this.. its for sure, sad. but so i disable it when not needed.

setCPU needs to be set to PERFORMANCE, then its around 62fps..
so its just how setcpu, governor works..

Ill look at it, but i feel, as you say the change should be kept inside a "patch" update only, making all the roms, is hard work.
But ill check it out.

one question: my previous experience told me, that the apk structure should be kept when unpacking the apks, is that your experience as well? because it seems if all files are "touch", it simply fails during system setup, with permissions, etc, all messed up.. so order seems to be a requirement..

Well, I'm restoring my apps using MyBackupPro.. and my data settings from earlier today when everything was working beautifully. Then I'll restart and hopefully all my contacts and everything should reappear :P

As for the Wifi thing.. well I'll turn it off.. but my battery went down really fast in college as well.. when I keep my Wifi off. I think I'll download Y5 Battery saver and tell it turn off wifi somehow.

NO LONGER A WARNING: regarding apps2SD (install 0.2a patch update and all is ok
apps cannot install, if permissions needs to be set on the folder.
im using a FAT32 partition as no ext2.ko module exists for our kernel, secondly because that was the only solution left :-(
but seems to be a bad replacement! (Sorry)
Nice is, you can disable by NOT using the tricker file mentioned to enable it.

I have a few problems with the new v02 version I cant seem to get any signal, and when I enable Airplane mode it seems to hang the system. (after a long time it comes back, but it never goes to flightmode)... Wifi works though. Also the keyboard backlight works but when typing it flashes on and off all the time?

Does this version have other GSM files than v1?

After reboot I now have Airplane mode (little plane signal) and wifi active nice Back to my old nandroid for now...

Okay well, Autobrightness still turns off the hardware keyboard, and good thing I didnt enable Apps2SD yet.

All my apps are restored, and so is LauncherPro, so by tomorrow evening, I'll get a decent enough set of bug reports :P

thanks, that will be part of next update now..
but i solved this,by simply linking to the FAT partition.
the problem only occur when Market or apps installer try to set ownership on the /data/app folder where its located. this is now working fine.

you must be needing different radio band drivers, because i can repeat off/on airplane mode here. no hangs or alike..
