So the VideoRecorder not working - is that just software or does it need hardware or kernel that the camera can make without?

i tested it outside, personally i see no differene, it still locks after 1-2 mins, and then after some secs if i disable/enable with minutes between..
i think the agps over internet, is having problems looking up data or so.. which is not hardware issue at all, but ip address block for non-us users maybe..
its software releated
but the library needed for phonecalls, is required for UMTS phones, but imcompatibble with video recorder sound, so priority was phone calls possible.Last edited by dext3r; 08-03-2010 at 03:58 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

If the IP Address is blocked for non-US users, that can be changed easily using the location.xml cited earlier.
But as for the autofocus, I thought only the camera preview required the new kernel.
And the FRG01B is the official Droid Froyo release. So technically, it should have a signed Motorola kernel right? Only tinkered around with by Verizon in terms of software.

Wiping your 'stone.
Hi all, I just installed the MotoFrenzy v0.3 FULL image last night and didn't read the part that said to ALWAYS WIPE YOUR PHONE BEFORE INSTALLING A FULL IMAGE. I was going to install the v0.4 today and was wondering if wiping was doing a full system restore/clearing data, and clearing the system cache.
And does this make you loose your root?

Edit: Nevermind, I looked around and answered my own question, thanks anyways.Last edited by SaineOne1; 08-03-2010 at 05:53 AM. Reason: Nevermind

If youre not already on a MotoFrenzy release, you have to flash 2.36 or 2.38 and then use a MotoFrenzy release. Doesnt work if youre coming from 2.14 or earlier.

it should be the official about to be released, but i not involved with motorola, so maybe its just another "update", but final might be FRG01C :-)
if you look in other threads here, there are other threads with official firmware for different countries. choose one with 2.36 that suit your country. and flash this one on top.
an original 2.36 stock firmware is required , if coming from earlier releases.Last edited by dext3r; 08-03-2010 at 06:11 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Agps fix:
to fix the agps problem we just have to change the files location.cfg in:
/data/location/location.cfg
/system/etc/location.cfg
supl1s.motorola.com:7275 need to be supl.google.com:7276
and DL_LCS_SUPL_SECURITY_ON = 1 in DL_LCS_SUPL_SECURITY_ON = 0

it tried that a couple of days ago, that doesnt work either.
simply fixing the servers doesnt change anything---
especially since location.cfg is no longer used by 2.2 as far as I can see, it is in none of the FRF84, FRF91 or FRG01 system/etc folders.
