I have managed to get the Reboot to working.
You will need to rename the file to "99_reboot"

Hi,
I'm totally new to forums and modding so please bear with me thanks. (:
I have a questions.
With the motofrenzy0.5c installed, do I have to manually install
the JiT and Apps2sd or does the motofrenzy come with it?
I'm using G.O.T openrecovery and there is the option to enable JiT and apps2sd. Should I do that?

somehow yes, enable apps2sd, but ive seen versions switch aroudn swap/apps2sd partition, and i hope G.O.T uses partition 2 for ext2, as no swap is possible on our model anyways..
so no JIT, froyo comes with JIT enabled default, and apps2sd yes..

Hi, just trying to say that the GOT apps2sd did not work for me.
Moments before I installed apps2sd, I learnt what a nandroid backup is, and I did it straight away. Moments after I installed apps2sd, my phone failed. Which means nandroid literally saved my sorry ass. Lol.
Well, I'm gonna stop messing with it cos I can live without it. (:
Thanks, dext3r for the tips. (:

See attached. You will need to rename the file to "99_Reboot".
What I noticed is that in the \System\etc\init.d\ folder, there is a 99Complete file. So I assume that we must make this reboot file run before the 99Complete. That's why I renamed it to 99_Reboot.
Another thing that you should do is to manually rename the "bp_panic.log1" in /data/panic/ to "bp_panic.log1.old".
Finally, restart your phone and see if it works.

Hi, long term reader, new poster here,
I have a telus milestone and am suffering of the same random loss of 3g many others here have.
I have replaced the 5 3g files and the libril_moto_umts.so one.
Just wanted to say that when my radio crashes, the shift+A+space ril reset from the 5.c patch works just fine (takes a few seconds to reconnect). So I was wondering if it was possible to make a script like the 99reboot one that does that automatically when the radio crashes. I don't know how to go about doing this, but it would def be a good enough fix for me (and probably others).

for me the restart ril dosn't work, but here you go
#!/system/bin/sh
echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/green/brightness
sleep 1
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/green/brightness
while
do
if [ -e /data/panic/bp_panic.log1 ] ; then
cp -f /data/panic/bp_panic.log1 /data/panic/bp_panic.log1.old
rm /data/panic/bp_panic.log1
echo "`date +'%Y %d %m %H:%M'` : Reboot on Radio Fail" >> /sdcard/radiofail.txt
/system/bin/stop ril-daemon
/yellow
sleep 1
/yellow
/system/bin/start ril-daemon
fi
sleep 5
done

The restart RIL also didn't work for me. I had to restart the phone.
Anyway, the radio issue is really too much for me to bear and I reverted back to 2.1.
I am hoping that Dexter will be able to find a solution to this radio issue as I really like the speed and flash in 2.2.
Till then, I will just stick to my rooted 2.1 with overclock and App2SD.

I use Azhad's script. So far, phone hasn't given up on me yet, and I've been using it for a while now.. A week or so I think. Great stuff.
