Are you sure the old one isn't in you sdcard? I suggest deleting anything named recovery off your sdcard and re-downloading 1.7.6

nope, tried this as well:

error opening /sdcard/recovery.img.img: No such file or directory

it must be something really basic, but i cant get a clue, what i missed...

rats, now it worked and i dont know why, just rebooted the backflip...

I deleted. Redownloaded and flashed....same thing, oh well i just wanted the newer version. Atleast i have one version...,thanks for the help j_r0dd....

It should just go to the next line. It won't say anything unless it errors

im a noob at this i downloaded the recovery file to the pc but how do i get it on my sdcard and how do i get it all to work please help with step by step instructions, i rooted my backflip from the instructions on youtube and seems to have worked fine

um plug the phone into your pc and mount the sdcard than copy and paste it over. that is common sense & it is assumed you know how to mount the sdcard to your pc. the step by step instructions are in the 1st post

Hi all, my friend have an italian Backflip (0.1.2) upgraded via Motorola official website to 0.3.6 italian stock.
The problem is that the phone locks on Motorola Blue Screen Security Boot after Root and flashing the RECOVERY j_r0dd-mb300-v1.7.6.

My phone is the same but al worked fine?

What can i do to help him to reach the recovery and the the Preclair on his phone?

Hello I'm new to this and it sounds very interesting but I don't understand diddlysquat about what's was said in this thread but I do know that I would like to administrative or superuser privileges on my mb300 but I can't download the tool because everything I need can't be downloaded with my phone which is my only way to access the www can some one help a newb out

Ive tried pushing the recovery file but it just brings up adb commands ive tried several things what should i do?

I Finally got it onto the sdcard and do i flash it in the phone terminal or threw adb bit confused there?

Okay ive tried deleting the original recovery using Root Explorer with no success. Its saying its read only or premission denied I am useing Superuser but i have it allowed for the programs. Also im using the mb300/Moto Backflip.
