I was wondering that as well, I thought maybe ADB didn't work in recovery at all ( I'm still pretty new to rooting. )

Nah, I played with adb in recovery for four hours when I lost haptics, this was on the cliq recovery.

Specifically it mounts and sees my device in recovery, but running adb shell throws back - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -

Do you have a link to that recovery? I was hoping to do ( at least ) a backup.

It works perfectly I think, you can use this as a recovery until the backflip one works. Apparently its 95% working but I havnt noticed any bugs.

That is correct. I just flashed the cliq recovery and had no issues running the backup. I think the issue with the capacitive buttons happened when someone (don't remember who) tried flashing something that went wrong, which then killed touch screen, thus the capacitive buttons when he went back into recovery. Initially though it works perfectly.

That someone was me, I happened to have the drivers for everything deleted, I couldnt even access the sd card.

Cliq recovery works great, just the buttons arent lit and the volume buttons are swapped. Everything works though

Agreed, and plus if it is more resistant to bad flashes (lack of drivers, etc), I'd definitely prefer to have the hard buttons, especially since we are so early on in the development of the phone.

Could we have both? Like power/volume/camera could be advertised but menu/home/back could be like unadvertised, I like home and back more :v Whatever works best though.

And if you have the buggy recovery you need to flash the .sfb if you cant boot. I did alot of thinking and theres no other way.

no you can't have both. i am going to use the hard keys since i spent a while changing the code specifically for your phones. i am just going to use the ramdisk from the cliq recovery and you guys should be golden. i just got home so be patient. also i updated the root-pack to just using the stock boot.img but allowing for adb remounts
