It was posted to me eairler in this thread.
I was told to use RSDLite to flash the recovery.
I am stuck in the moto boot screen and it just loops and loops and loops.
I have tryed to do the recovery by holding the camera button and everything, but when I choose recovery, it just puts me in this same cycle.

Any ideas on what to do?

If you did a nandroid backup, you should be able to reload it to your sd card, and then use the recovery to get back up and running.

I did do a nandroid back up, and I have tryed. It just keeps putting me through this cycle....

ok i guess im stuck at the boot loop also. ( 6 times ) hmm lets see what we can do?!?!
How do i get it out of the boot loop? Android guy...or is that normal?

j_rood, you have no idea how much this makes this piece of crap phone usable. thank you so much. glad this has a headphone jack cause there is no way i would go back to that crap that was on here before just for wireless tunes.(i don't think id go back even if it didn't). anyone with an att backflip having problems, there is enough of us here that have it working fine maybe bug us instead of j_rood? i think he's done enough. he wants to mess with the other ones that's his call but he shouldn't even be expected to sit and walk everyone through getting this working when he already gave us a working recovery AND rom. it works on att backflips as advertised. if its not working on your att backflip you are doing something wrong. people doing this are gonna keep us from getting cool stuff from him later.(he did this now imagine what he'll do with kernel sources lol). none of us are smart enough to do this or we wouldn't have spent 2 days refreshing this page every 15 minutes. worth the wait tho. also on a side note....j_rood, any chance this kernel has a tun.ko so i can use openvpn? im sure not but can't hurt to ask right? and again thanks a million man.

I did do a nandroid back up, and I have tryed. It just keeps putting me through this cycle....

Hold down D + J then press and hold Power to turn phone on, keep them held til you get to the blue moto screen. RSDLite needs this screen to flash sbfs.

Anyone else notice that you can now make the LED flash for new messages?

j_r0dd, kudos. I'm enjoying 2.1 immensely, and plan on flashing my wife's phone later tonight.

Also, does anyone know what happened to the "News" widget? Is that something j_r0dd pulled, or is that something that Moto ditched for their other 2.1 releases (I'm guessing that's what this is based off of)?

Ok, guys. Whoever needs help, start a new thread in the backflip general section so other members can help you there. This thread is becoming to cluttered with requests for how to do things that you should be somewhat familiar with already. The point of this thread is for the rom, so lets stay on topic with that: bugs, questions about a feature, etc... Any posts that are asking off topic questions like "how do I perform a backup?", "how do I flash a new recovery?", "how do I flash with rsd lite?", etc... will be deleted by myself or j_r0dd (if he chooses to). Thanks for understanding.

so i want to have some info from catlog but adb dont see mine device dunno why... cause i flashed j_r0dd recovery and root only from PC shell with adb so dunno, but i cant make this rom work :/ tryed 1 hours and phone only rebooting in M picture i guess i am hopeless losser or i am making something wrong ? i did full wipe and flash it from recovery, everything looks good but rom does not start up at all..
