successful flash on a Telus Backflip!
Booted up, have 3g, all good so far.
Used the Italian radio first.

I don't know if it't the new ROM or if it's new software I've downloaded but my the GPS icon shows up on the notification bar quite a lot now. It used to only show up when I used Maps or Where's My Droid or some other software that would use it when in the foreground.
Has anyone else noticed this?

j_r0dd: it will be better, i got adapt quickly to QWERTY even if i have QWERTZ but it is better to have what i have on keyboard.

If there is some easy way, it will be super cool.

You can use Ext2 IFS For Windows to access (read and write) Ext2 and Ext3 drives in Windows. I've used it in the past for accessing my dual booted Linux partitions from Windows (though not as useful now since the move to Ext4 by most Linux distros.

I tried, it doesn't seem to want to work for me (or perhaps partitioning it in recovery doesnt work?). Doesn't really bother me for now.

In addition to bluetooth not working, did anyone else notice the phone unlocking or lighting up after locking it and closing it? a bit annoying having to wait for it to light up so you can lock it again and put in your pocket.

On the bright side, its definitely quicker and more efficient battery wise then the 1.5 rom.

I have been running his since day two... It ran great till today. For some reason, my phone rebooted and is now stuck in a loop at the green guy... Could moving the delvik to the sd cause this as it is the last thing I did before the crash?



EDIT: Did a full wipe and reinstall and booted fine.

Sadly, it looks like it's not in the build. I was looking for the same thing, but the only response I got was to use an app like newsrob. Personally, I liked having the widget to flip through headlines.

j_r0dd, is this something lacking from Motoblur 2.1, or something you pulled for one reason or another?

Have you tried to replace everything in /system/usr/keychars and /system/usr/keylayout using the ones from your stock rom/backup?I would suggest a backup beforehand though

Does anyone else's ATT logo at the top left disappear on them? Seems to just go away for awhile until the next reboot.

2.1 on my Telus Backflip, which likely would never have gotten the update any other way. And so far, I haven't found ANYTHING not working.

Did you partition your sdcard? pull it out to see if it is still looping or not.
Someone in hiapk mentioned that after setting up app2sd he got the green loop, so this may have something to do with the ext/swap partition on the sdcard.

still holding out here for j_r0dd's 2.1, I have a non-at&t backflip (Mexico - Telcel - America Movil branded)

will it be safe to upgrade to the italian radio zip? I know Latin America users won't get past 1.5 because Motorola decided to crap on us.

Anyone in Latin America got it working?

I'm from Argentina, and it didn't work for me. Got the android logo loop. couldn't restore my backup so flashed the Italian sbf, but I'm hating it. Need the 5017 radio :-(
