So my phone seems incapapable of runningyour kernel, the oc kernel for preclair. It will only boot up on official or preclair kernel. It is a replacement phone. Did something get changed??

The kernel was changed in this beta with overclocking mod. The previous kernel still had the overclocking mod.

Your are in the same situation as me, I cannot run j_r0dd's kernel, anything else is fine. My phone is also a replacement...did your phone come with 2.1 stock?

UPDATE: I got a working boot animation, and added a few new apps to help improve the overall use of the ROM.

Still working on the contacts problem though.

I think I will be uploading 2 different version of this ROM...

one with overclocking mod and one with netfilter, swap, ext3 & 4.

Some people want to use tethering so they will have to download the ROM for that.

Quick question, I was having some randoms hangups but when I disable the backtrack it all works wonderful,do you know if there is an issue in that?

Yes there was an issue with that...but that was in v1.4?

What ROM version are you using?

1.5 BETA and 1.5 Beta 2 should fix that problem.

UPDATE: The next update for this ROM will contain a new app called offline contacts sync...

It will allow you to import your contacts from your SIM card..instructions will be available when the ROM is released.

Lol sorry, just updated it after working on it for a few days...not much impovement just new apps and boot animation fix.

BTW, contact importing will be made easy in beta3 or final release.

One last thing, I would appreciate if I can get a boot animation designer to make me one using my logo somehow!

Why are these two things exclusive? Or is it just because you're dropping in different kernels to get them? And if so, are there any other advantages/disadvantages to each of these besides those features?
