I would like to just say, (this is coming from not a tech head) 1.9 Vs. 1.8 has been such a huge step up! The Stability and Performance is perfect. I haven't had a crash with 1.9 at all! 1.8 I would get them every so often and the power the backflip has to deal with animations and just everyday processing has improved out of sight. MY QUESTION is downgrading the Kernel which will happen in version 2.0... will that bring us back to 1.8 speed and stability? Or is it something else that has made 1.9 That much better than 1.8. Any comments would be much appreciated... and finally Ginny Good Work mate, I thank you greatly

Is there a free app to control OC?

The screen is suppose to go black, this is fixed in v2.0
As for the tabletop, I did not replace it with anything I just removed it completely. I can add it again if it is being used by others.
Maybe v2.0 today sometime? Cannot guarantee anything though.
I don't believe the stability will be decreased I think these problems were happening because of other reasons. If it is because of the kernel we will have to find out by just testing! I actually do not know exactly why but I can say I did get one random reboot in this version quicker than I did in v1.8...Last edited by itzmcgin; 02-06-2011 at 01:18 PM. Wow, I'm usually one of the first to completely test a rom, and haven't gotten that far yet, lol You took tabletop out bro? Damn.. oh well.. I guess I can do without, but it's the only clock app I've found that dims the lower 3 when it dims.. I'm loving 1.9 tho man, so far so good, and I LOVE that bootup animation! That cracked me up! lol
Another fine job man!

LOL, if you take and open the bf halfway with a rom that has it in it, it will switch to a clock, and you can use it as a night stand clock just like a regular one sitting on your nightstand, or whatnot, and I've been through a bunch of clocks on the market to see if they dim the lower 3 leds, and so far, that's the only one that does. I wish I knew smali, I'd design my own tabletop clock for the thing - the one it has is nice, but there are some similar clocks for other phones out there that let you see your background (but they don't dim the lower 3), and as far as I can tell, there's no way to make the default tabletop one do that. That part's more cosmetic than anything.
Hey, guess what? I've run into some sd card handling problems.. It seems when you take out the sd card with either ADW or LauncherPRO as a default launcher, you run into problems with that. I've done some extensive testing: rebooting with and without the sd card, with either one of those launchers selected as default - and I run into the same problems, soft-reboot loops (keeps rebooting from where the boot animation starts), which I cleared up by changing a setting in build.prop:
ro.mot.hw.ringerswitch=0 to ro.mot.hw.ringerswitch=1 (identified via logcat because I had a ringer set from my sd card, and it wasn't being able to switch to the default one set in build.prop, but this also changes it to where you hold the vol-down key, and it doesn't make it silent - it just drops it down to the lowest ringer volume) - but that didn't clear up the underlying problem because once it does boot up, neither launcher fires up. I installed BlurHome.apk from stock, via adb, to at least get some sort of launcher working, and the sd card problems cleared up. Upon further investigation with logcat and settings->applications->manage applications, I figured out that what's going on, is it's dropping those packages on reboot - not exactly sure why, though, but that's where you'll want to look. (Just found out it's doing it with all the added packages because they're not in the drawer.) I had the same thing happen when I tried to add a couple things to the AOSP I'm working on, and bestialbub told me it has something to do with the framework. So whatever you changed from 1.8 to 1.9, it broke the packages from sticking like they did in 1.8.
Other than that, man, this rom is awesome!
I love the speed, and how you changed the poweroff menu so that poweroff is at the top comes in on a more efficient note.
I had been using 1.8 up until yesterday, and 1.9 seems even better despite the sd card problem. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep testing and giving you feedback, because this has been my daily driver for a couple weeks now while I work on the AOSP with Nex.
Peace..
EDIT: I also am running into the restore problem again. I guess it's another fresh install.. I don't know if I can keep using this rom if that doesn't get fixed - at least not while I'm working on AOSP as well. I don't have the time to keep reinstalling everything every time I want to go back to it.. Sorry man, maybe after I get done with working on the AOSP, I can keep using this..Last edited by wickid_d; 02-07-2011 at 05:11 AM.

well I got a probelm after testing Hexpores' ROMs: after doing the backuo process.acore crashed everytime I made the screen on. Well I figured out it's a account problem. So I thought why not killing all syncing apps and clearing their data. After clearing it with TitaniumBackup I have now a new problem.
Everything is working except of shutdown menu (poweroff button) and the home-softkey.
So if someone can help me?? Otherwise I will wate until 2.0 and then do a new installation.
Because I didn't found any help on google search I wanted to post it somewhere, for people who will have this problem, too.
BUT!!! Everyone who have this, the better idea is to backup all things and do a fresh install

I will look into these problems, thanks.
Does anyone actually use the Help Center app? I was going to add it again but I don't see a point to it as I have looked at it, nothing great or informational. No one has complained about adding it either but just thought I would ask.Last edited by itzmcgin; 02-07-2011 at 03:37 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
