I have been using Gintech 2.0 with j_r0dd MT all day with no problems, so you should be fine, but obviously if you do run into something (that you feel you are able to blame on the MT patch/kernel) then you should share with the rest of us, that's what I intended on doing

Do we have any method to overcome the original dial-er issue?
Do we have any other app which use dial as default screen?
- 02-12-2011, 02:01 AM #948
You need to set the phone as default then when you go to call or do certain things (cannot remember them all) it will automatically use the dialer.
Not sure why anyone is getting problems with the market not being there once you flash the ROM...
can someone who is having these problems do a logcat and put it up here for me?

Now I have to ask a question. My battery life hasn't been too grand, seems like I typically have around 30MB RAM free, which is at least 10-15 more than I had using preclair. Usually I don't make it through a day (part of which I know is because I spend a great deal of time in a room with shaky reception)
I just wanted to know if any one was willing to share their SetCPU profiles as a basis for me to use as a guideline. Battery life is probably priority, but performance is a close second. Just looking for some balance.

Thanks for that, seems to be helping me a bit so far. I noticed that the Backflip has no ability to disable 3G within the settings menu? I don't know if it's this rom, or if it has always been that way (but I'll assume it has always been like that), would be a great feature to get back if possible though. In other news, j_r0dd got JIT working on the BF, haha just when I think I finally have my ROM situation perfected and stabilized. I hope this means I have another Gintech deblurred coming my way soon (But no rush, really. Love 2.0 and keep up the good work)

v2.1 will be released soon. JIT must be included lol.

I encountered an interesting problem. Flashed 2.0 yesterday afternoon, after doing a full wipe/repartition sd of course. I did not make any changes to CPU speed, or any other "major" phone settings I can think of. Everything went well, got my accounts set up, apps restored, etc., until tonight, when the battery was down to around 25% or so. My phone just started randomly rebooting, at first with random causes (turning on camera, enabling APN, disabling WiFi; all of these caused a reboot (not to the M screen, just to the eclair GINtech screen)). After a while, the phone went into a reboot loop, and then just hung up. I finally rebooted it into recovery and charged it for a while, it worked fine after that.
Seems rather bizarre, any thoughts as to why this would be happening?

itzmcgin: I want to have the Motoblur locating feature. I know this question cam up a few times, but do you know which app is responsible for this thing? I only need the app name, the rest can I figure out by myself.
With the locating feature I mean the posibility to wipe and locate your motoblur phone remotely via the motoblur webpage

I believe it is already on there? I thought Phone Portal did this?

itzmcgin: Did you answered me? What I want to say is: I DON'T want motoblur, because it makes the backflip like walking through swampland (I hope you guys understand that metaphor as in german). But I also want to have the locating service. So If my backflip was stollen, I can locate and remotely wipe it.
So if you know the app-name, I'll figure out which apps are also needed (for other users)

i can give you an app from the market that does the same thing: netqin antivirus. it has antivirus, it also wipes and locates your phone remotely: https://market.android.com/details?i....antivirusgm20
