I get the feeling that not everyone who installed this BETA update knows what a BETA release is. A BETA (ALPHAs are worse) release means most of the bugs are worked out of a program or OS, but not all of them it's a test release. If you find that there is something you must have that is not working with the test release then roll back to what was working and submit what your problem was. I can live with the things that don't work right and I will submit them as I find them, but if you NEED a function that is not working then you really need to wait until a gold release comes out (or at least a RC).

I have to say, I am a little disappointed, The upgrade from Preclair to Cm6 beta 1 was so HUGE, it brought a lot of excitement. This step up, if that at all, is very little, with the issues with microphone, camera still playing up and the loud speaker not really fixed up completely yet. I guess my hopes and expectations were very high, thinking it would be pretty much complete. Alas it is not.

That all said, I am very very thankful for KZ and his efforts, its by far the best Rom out there with all of its issues. Hence why i donated, and if you have not yet i suggest you do it now.

In time, I can not wait for this and CM7 to be the Best and most likely final Rom for this cool little phone, known to me and my misses as Booty Flip.

I'm so happy with this release, thank very much for all who work hard on it.

There are some bugs yet documented here, but this room is a really good surprise.
I will donate and hope more people do the same to help and "sponsor" kz to work on it.

Patrick,the rom`s a masterpiece but i think you kinda missed something..
my phone restarts at times on its own..it also restarted during a call..i did a WIPE ALL before flashing beta 2 and then also did fix permissions..but it still sometimes restarts..

I have the same issue as yours. However, I figured out an temp solution to this bad blocks error.
I am using Clockworkmod recovery. My steps are:
- First, do a backup
- wipe everything like usual installing a new rom: factory reset, cache...
- install the cm6 beta2 and got error messages with boot.img (of course )
- dont worry, use advanced restore to restore the boot backup (ONLY THE BOOT BACKUP) that already did in the first step.
- Install latest gapps
- reboot

My BF reboot successfully and I saw version Unofficial-CM-6.1.2-motus-beta2 in About Phone.

I have installed skype and have no problems. Barcode scanner works for me to..I did notice keyboard light prob. And mic and headphones work too. Why work on my phone and others have prob? Could it be because this backflip is only 3 months old?

I found another issue with the camera. I tried to open the settings and the screen just goes black. Have to hit Home and then kill the camera with ATK to get it back.

If I connect the usb to my phone, the phone does not recognize it. Even to connect the charger I have to restart the phone. But that way it is not recognizing the usb.
Any help will be appreciated!

I'm getting this switches to 3G when idling too, even if I have very strong wifi signal. Is that a setting (looked everywhere for an option to change that, couldn't find) or a bug?

Wifi stettings -> menu key-> advanced-> wifi sleep policy

first off I thought I would start with things that will NOT work.
1. flash player (hardware)
2. games like pocket legends (hardware)
3. video wallpapers (some will work but not most [hardware])
here are the issues I have had
1.) voice anything outside of calls (well known issue)
2.) speaker phone is very choppy
3.) some apps will just show as generic icons and be unusable unless you open the market and close it (annoying but not deal breaker [reboot also fixes])
4. wifi tether runs slow compared to phones with it by default (get what you pay for and would not care if you never work on this)
5. boot time is longer (see above notes)
6. keyboard lights not working ( minor but does need fixed)
all in all this is a very good BETA version of the rom and can't wait to try the final version.

7. Notification light always green on first boot after getting a notification.
8. Audio Quality needs some fixes.

The usb issue may be hardware. My phone doesn't card via car charger, Only when connect to computers with high power and quality chargers. Also if my phone is connected to an aftermarket charger i get ghost touches. This all happens on stock firmware.
