Heh you've already done that. Su will grant you root permissions (if you're in "$" shell ). So installing "su" and "superuser.apk" is the way for permament root.

I apologize, nervousness+rushing does not make for clear instructions.

Basically these were the rough steps I took:
I did the entire script instructions and was fustrated I was still at $ after running rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin the first time.
    I exited adb/cmd prompt
I rebooted my phone (Power down and then I turned it on again)
    Started cmd
I logged into adb shell and had $ so I ran rageagainstthecage again.
    Ran adb kill-server
    Ran adb devices
Ran adb shell and had #

Here, this should give you an idea. I still have the cmd prompt open and it saved my session.

I dont think I have to redact my name from this.

Skrilax_CZ: Nandroid completed successfully and I have the firmware saved on my desktop. Do you want it? Isnt this the key to make a custom firmware/pre-rooted stock? It is decrypted properly, correct?

    Skyfallkavu:
No need to upload it (there are the SBFs) and your firmware is stock. You'll be using the nandroid restore to install custom kernels and ROMs, tes.

Oh, I didn't know we already had the firmware decrypted from motorolas servers. Last I checked they couldn't extract the update.zip properly.

And thank you for everything you did, and everybody involved with this project. 743C team did a great job with this root. Thank you again.

SBF is not update.zip (it's a Motorola way how to flash firmware from the blue bootloader). It contains full firmware image.

Still no luck here. I've even tried doing a restore, and flashing the 13.37 SBF.

Skyfallkavu, thanks for the CMD prompt post. That's exactly what i was hoping for. I assume the rageagainstthecage bin file can be downloaded from a link somewhere in this thread?

Same Version as mine. I have tried going back to regular Home instead of LiveHome. Stopping Android Task Killer. Airplane mode. Wifi/GPS/Bluetooth all enabled. I have a few other things to maybe uninstall or kill the process on but i'm at a bit of a loss why its not working.

try typing su after you run rage the second time after rebooting.

Try running rage with the SD Card mounted in windows, I might of done that.

Try running it again after unmounting it ! :3
