The updated radio shouldn't be an issue. I had the official upgrade on my phone and am using the custom ROMs.

Are you wipeing? Everything!

I had a problem like that, I couldn't flash because my sd ext partion wasn't wiping. Make sure you wipe all, not just data and cache

Make sure the rom zips you download are close to 70mb or higher. You may not be downloading them correctly. What does it say when you install a rom in recovery? Does it give you any errors? Or does it just bootloop when the phone reboots?

Have you tried to flash the "clean" version of GINtech again, and is that the only ROM you've been able to successfully flash? I believe there have been reports by others before (and the reason there is the "clean" version for GINtech) that had something to do with the size of the /boot image causing the phone to not boot properly.

After a sbf flash if the problem persists it may be your sdcard, as software should no longer be an issue.
Go catch the flash memory formatter at sdcard.org under downloads and format your card. Size adjust option on, and the bottom erase option for full format should be chosen to low level format your card.
Other than that, wipe dalvik cache before a wipeall between rom flashes, if switching between blurred (moto, jr0dd) and deblurred roms (gintech/deblurred/aosp roms).
